Multiple stories of friendship and love.
Revisado: 01-08-24
It wasn’t quite the typical gay romance. In fact, I almost gave up, thinking maybe I had misunderstood. The characters were impossibly perfect, but isn’t that what a fictional romance should be?

Historia
Between having a girlfriend, a job, and pretty decent grades, 17-year-old Jules Hatcher is living a perfectly normal life. That is, until he stumbles into Hunter Adams, who is not only openly bisexual, but also notorious for being a player and always getting what he wants. And what he wants happens to be nothing less than Jules. What starts with Jules spilling coffee over Hunter and in turn lending him his hoodie quickly spirals into something much more complicated.

Pat plot and odd story construction.
Revisado: 01-18-23
Predictability dominated the plot events. While it was a first-person story for much of its length, suddenly a second character spoke in the first person well into the tale. The recorded performance was good and the characters were cliche but sweet.

Daniel: I suck at relationships and don't trust anyone, but there are reasons for that. For one thing, every person I've ever cared about has let me down. The only recent exception: O'Leary's town veterinarian...my new best friend. I came to O'Leary for a fresh start. To pare things down to essentials. To forget about the failures in my past. The last thing I need is complications, and most definitely not a boyfriend.

Hotness, Characters, Plot, and Performance: Oh My
Revisado: 07-10-19
I bought this book because of the galactic, stellar ratings by listeners. I was not disappointed at all. There was the hotness of the two main subjects. Okay, there was also the depth and personal character of the main and secondary actors. The brilliant dialogue was brilliantly performed by Alexander and Iggy (I feel like I know them now). And, the plot was multifaceted and captivating. I would be dishonest if I did not mention that the romantic (sexual) content seemed to spring from the mind of a woman. Well, it did, so no huge surprise there, but it was not a distraction. I enjoyed every minute of getting to know Julian and Daniel. I'm now looking for more books by May Archer.

Historia
One of the great thinkers of all time, Thomas Jefferson helped shape America in its early years, and his ideas continue to inspire us today. His amazing contributions include not only writing the Declaration of Independence, but his actions as the United States' third President, as well as his influence as a scientist, inventor, farming pioneer, and educator. The engrossing life of this founding father is fully captured in this richly detailed biography.

Jefferson was more interesting than this
Revisado: 10-25-16
I suspect this biography was written for teenagers, and it will satisfy their attention spans while getting the homework done. The reader does not get much more detail about Jefferson than I picked up in my junior high school American history class. Not bad, but Thomas J. deserves more attention, especially as to his rivalry with Hamilton, his political positions on issues of his day, and on slavery. All three subjects were all but glossed over.

Historia
Entomology grad student Adam Ellery meets Denver Rogers, a muscle-bound hunk of sexy, when Denver effortlessly dispatches the drunken frat boys harassing Adam at the Tucker Springs laundromat. Thanking him turns into flirting, and then, much to Adam's delight, hot sex over the laundry table. Though Denver's job as a bouncer at a gay bar means he gets his pick of geek-sexy college twinks, he can't get Adam out of his head.

Not your typical gay romance
Revisado: 10-25-16
I don't know much about learning disabilities and I know less about OCD. Both were explored in this story of two unlikely lovers. The dommy-subby angle was a nice surprise, as I think it was for Adam, the main character too. The narration was well done and the story had some better than usual turns. Thumbs up!
