Historia
For Kimberly Quincy, FBI Special Agent, it all starts with a pregnant hooker. The story Delilah Rose tells Kimberly about her johns is too horrifying to be true; but prostitutes are disappearing, one by one, with no explanation, and no one but Kimberly seems to care.

Excellent

This was an excellent book! Lisa Gardner never disappoints and I am so happy I chose to get this one to add to my collection! I read other reviews of this book and was prepared for the disturbing storyline - it was fabulous, gut-wrenching, twisted - but I have to warn anyone who doesn't like creepy-crawly things...don't listen to this book while doing something you shouldn't be easily distracted from (ie. driving, working out on a treadmill etc)! That's all I'll say so I don't ruin it but be warned!

Historia
For ex-FBI profiler Pierce Quincy, it’s the beginning of his worst nightmare: a car abandoned on a desolate stretch of Oregon highway, engine running, purse on the driver’s seat. And his estranged wife, Rainie Conner, gone, leaving no clue to her fate. Did one of the ghosts from Rainie’s troubled past finally catch up with her? Or could her disappearance be the result of one of the cases they’d been working–a particularly vicious double homicide or the possible abuse of a deeply disturbed child Rainie took too close to heart?

Great listen!

I've tried to follow Rainie and Quincy through all of the books since they first met up and I really enjoyed this one, just like all of the others. My only disappointment was in Quincy's demeanor - it just didn't sound like him. While there was no doubt that Rainie was "his wife" and he was distraught over her disappearance, he just didn't seem to add much to the investigation. Neither did his daughter Kimberley. Still, loved the story and it kept me quessing and made me tear up at the end (but not a lame ending - don't worry!). Excellent job!
