*There’s a lot to love about this one — especially getting to see Brick finally face down his own demons and start piecing his family back together. Watching him actually grow instead of just throwing charm at his problems felt real and satisfying.

I also really liked Nadia’s arc — seeing her come to terms with the things from her past that were never her fault, and learning to stand in her own strength again. Watching her and Brick realize they actually loved each other — not just needed or wanted, but really loved — gave the story real weight. It wasn’t instant, and it wasn’t easy, and that made it hit harder.

That said…
if I had to hear about one more $5,000 suit or $500 shirt, I was going to start throwing fictional credit cards into the ocean.
We know they have money.
We know they’re successful.
It doesn’t need to be a running commentary like a human price tag machine.
We’re here for the emotional payoff, not to audit their closet. Money doesn’t automatically make someone more attractive — and honestly, the constant reminders undercut some of the depth the story was building.

Still, even with that annoying flex, it was a strong, emotional read about healing, forgiveness, and choosing to fight for something real.*

Turning Back isn’t just a second chance story—it’s a battle cry for all the parts of us that think we’re too broken to deserve one. Rochelle finally gets her voice here, and it’s everything—sharp, scarred, beautiful. Brick’s fight to be better is brutal and real—you can feel the darkness coiled just under his skin, threatening to pull him under with every choice he makes. And Quinn? God, Quinn is a quieter kind of heartbreak. He’s not jaded like the others; he’s careful, scared he’ll be the anchor that holds Rochelle back from everything she could be. But what makes him unforgettable is that he loves her anyway—not by caging her, not by changing her, but by letting her be exactly who she is and standing there anyway.

There’s a tenderness underneath all the wreckage. A love story that’s messy, human, earned.
It’s not polished. It’s not perfect.
It’s better.

This book delivered everything. The storyline pulled me in hard, but what really hit was how each romance felt distinct—layered, fiery, and addictive in its own way. It’s not just heat (though there’s plenty of that); there’s heart, tension, and characters you can’t stop thinking about.

Chella’s arc especially? Whew. Watching her find her voice and begin to heal was powerful. Messy, raw, beautiful. And now I’m so ready for Rachelle’s story in book two—I just know it’s gonna bring the drama and the depth.

If you’re into twisted timelines, broken people trying to piece themselves back together, and romance that doesn’t hold back, this one’s for you.

Review:
Dark, decadent, and dripping with temptation, Nightshade is a gothic fever dream that wraps you in velvet and thorns. The forbidden romance? A slow, sinful unraveling that made me want to scream at the characters and kiss them on the mouth—sometimes at the same time.

Jericho Van Croix is exactly the kind of brooding chaos I fall for in fiction: dangerous, unreadable, and probably cursed. And our narrator? Equal parts sharp and reckless—like watching someone walk barefoot into fire because they have to know how it feels.

The world-building is thick and lush, like walking through fog with blood on the wind. I knocked off a star only because a few plot beats felt repetitive or dragged slightly—but honestly? I was too spellbound by the tension to care much.

If you like your stories soaked in danger, devotion, and damnation… welcome to Nightshade.

The Truth We Seek pulled me in with its layered characters and left me sitting in my feelings like, “ma’am… was that necessary?” The emotional tension was chef’s kiss, and the connection between the leads had that perfect slow-burn ache—equal parts maddening and magnetic.

Was it perfect? Nah. The middle wandered a bit, like it got lost in its own introspection. But the payoff was worth the meandering—Lily Wildheart stuck the landing in a way that made me forgive the detours.

The prose was gorgeous without being pretentious, and the little gut-punch moments? Yeah… those hit harder than I expected. Would I recommend it? Absolutely

This book cracked me open in ways I didn’t expect. The writing? Lush without being overdone. The pacing? Impeccable—I was pulled in from the very first page and it did not let go. But what really stuck with me were the characters: beautifully flawed, deeply human, and carrying secrets like they were stitched into their skin.

The emotional unraveling hit hard in the best way. It’s not just about what we hide from others—it’s about what we bury from ourselves. And when it all comes to the surface? Whew. Brace yourself.

This was one of those reads that made me pause, reread sentences, and just feel. Definitely one I’ll be recommending (and probably re-reading with a glass of wine and a playlist of emotional damage on loop).

This one had some sweet moments and solid chemistry, but overall it just didn’t hit as hard as I hoped. The setup had potential—a guarded photographer and a charming football player? Yes, please. But somewhere along the way, it started to feel more like a slow burn that forgot to ignite.

There were parts I enjoyed—some banter, a few heart-tugging moments—but I kept finding myself drifting or skipping ahead. The emotional depth was almost there, but not quite enough to fully pull me in.

Not a bad read, just not one that left a strong mark for

Look, I love a sweet romance, but this one had me side-eyeing my Kindle more than swooning. The whole virgin but somehow has piercings and Olympic-level bedroom confidence thing? Like, ma’am. That’s a leap, be serious. Cute moments? Sure. But believable? Not exactly. I stuck around for the banter and the good guy energy, but parts of it felt like wish fulfillment on steroids. Fun, but not fooling anyone.

Rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This one had enough slow-burn tension to make me want to scream into a pillow—in the best way.

This one had me hooked. Gray and Ivy? Their chemistry could’ve lit a match. The banter was chef’s kiss, but underneath all that heat was a depth I didn’t expect. Watching them circle each other with all their emotional baggage dragging behind them felt raw and real—and honestly? Relatable as hell.

I especially appreciated how the miscarriage moment was handled. It didn’t feel like a throwaway trauma drop—it was tender, grounded, and gave the characters room to actually process. That scene alone earned this book some serious points.

Why not five stars? A few pacing lags and some texting convos that could’ve been trimmed—but nothing major enough to make me put it down.

If you’re into friends-to-lovers, emotional landmines, fake dating, and a man who shows up when it matters? You’ll eat this up.

This one’s a sweet, steamy ride with just enough emotional depth to keep you invested. Sure, the plot follows a pretty predictable arc—but sometimes, that’s exactly what you want.

What makes it shine?
A heroine who’s refreshingly real—thicker, insecure, but fierce and dealing with body image issues in a way that felt honest. A hero grappling with more than just physical pain. They’ve both got baggage, and watching them unpack it together is satisfying.

The banter’s a highlight. Not just between the leads, but with side characters who feel like more than cardboard cutouts. There’s tension, growth, vulnerability, and enough chemistry to fog up your headphones.

Only real drawback? The Audible cover. Yikes. That thing almost scared me off—looked like a low-budget rom-com from 2008. I almost skipped it based on that cheese-fest alone. But the Good Reads cover? Gave me everything I needed to hit download without hesitation. Why the multiple versions of this book cover floating around? No idea. Wish they’d just pick a vibe and stick to it.

In short: predictable but cute, heartfelt with heat, and totally worth the read... once you get past the graphic design identity crisis.
