Love a good memoir

I enjoyed this audiobook. I could definitely relate to a lot. There were just a few times I struggled getting through a few pages, but I think it was only because some of the chapters were too long for me. I like to start and stop with a chapter, so when a chapter is too long, I start to drift. And although I'm not a prude or angel, I felt there was overkill on the "f" word. The occasional emphasis, in this day, is understandable, but way too many. Other than that, the book was entertaining and worth the money.

I love books, but for some reason I don't have the capacity to stay with them when I "read" them, no matter how good the story. However, I love audiobooks and Amazon Audible! I usually listen to memoirs or autobiographies, but I chose to try Horse Gone Silent. I am so glad that I did. This book was excellent. It held my attention and made me excited to come back for more. I didn't want to stop listening. I was deeply enthralled with it. I listened to the story while walking, so I got to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. I could've walked 30 more miles listening to completion but ended up breaking it up in 2.5 days. It was so good, that I could smell the barn and picture riding, as the words described the moments in the book so perfectly. On occasion, I even shed a tear or chuckled. The emotions it stirred in me were real. The author did such a great job, I will be checking out his new release. This book puts you "there" and allows you to see all the "life" lessons that we are sometimes too busy to see and learn. This book is well done.
