this is my second go through of the story (read then listened) and I fell even more in love with nona. I wasn't sure I like pulling away from some of my favorites, but slowly getting the story of Alecto as a fresh baby that just wants to love the world (almost like a pure version of herself) was really cool. I hate and love Paul, but Cam and Pals love was utterly heart wrenching. Gideon come back and us seeing her from and outside perspective was really interesting, and knowing Gideon all of her "harsh kiriona outsides" were just cover ups to her being a big softy. anyway...sure this didn't exactly advance the plot much but it was a fantastic ride and I will miss Nona
also John is utterly crazy and I have no sympathy him

Breathtaking, haunting & full of base human hunger

This is a story that isn't for everyone, even though I feel like everyone should read it. it's prose are stunning, the story winds through several different lives that all feel rich, and important all while never shying away from humanities deepest and darkest vile nature's. Bravo to the performers, great listen.
