Historia
Newcago is free. They told David it was impossible, that even the Reckoners had never killed a High Epic. Yet Steelheart - invincible, immortal, unconquerable - is dead. And he died by David's hand.Eliminating Steelheart was supposed to make life simpler. Instead, it only made David realize he has questions. Big ones. And no one in Newcago can give him answers.Babylon Restored, the city formerly known as the borough of Manhattan, has possibilities, though.

Change in style
Revisado: 04-11-20
The voices changed and the narrator just lost the flow. The author just writes to write and fails to stay consistent. I would suggest selecting another series.

Historia
Ten years ago, Calamity came. It was a burst in the sky that gave ordinary men and women extraordinary powers. The awed public started calling them Epics. But Epics are no friend of man. With incredible gifts came the desire to rule. And to rule man you must crush his will. Nobody fights the Epics...nobody but the Reckoners. A shadowy group of ordinary humans, they spend their lives studying Epics, finding their weaknesses, and then assassinating them. And David wants in. He wants Steelheart - the Epic who is said to be invincible. The Epic who killed David's father.

Felt forced, predictable, and inconsistent
Revisado: 04-01-20
Going through the story you will see areas where the author kinda forced the story to just go with what he wanted rather than finding a better way to present it. Other areas will cause you to lose the flow in the story. An example would be when the character shoots like 15 shots of a special gun and the author had the smartest character say the battery will only shoot the gun 6 times. As you can see the author just writes and forces the story to go along despite what he previously wrote.

With forever-death on the line, civil war breaks out in the Citadel, pitting Roark’s new regime against Azibek’s horde of loyalists. To survive, Roark will have to outfox the dungeon lord, forge new, dirtier weapons and shady alliances, and above all, evolve....

Some inconsistencies
Revisado: 03-08-20
The story and everything is great and is an enjoyable read. Some parts are just over looked with details that pull you out of the story and question what was said because something different was mentioned at an earlier point. As an example of how easily they overlooked details sometimes, the cover art shows the spell book in the right hand yet the entire series so far only allows it to be in the left.
Just small things like that takes away from a fully engaged listening.

Changing character voices
Revisado: 11-25-19
The story felt lost when they switched narrators and all the characters had different voices. Changed the entire tone and felt like a new story. Lost interest more than halfway through the book when this happened. What a real shame.

Lost some flow from book 1
Revisado: 06-26-19
While listening to this book you will see that the flow and terms seem to become loose and not presented in the way they were in book 1.
The main character actually talks directly to the reader a few times breaking the flow. The whole opening of the book is just a recap of everything as if it is assumed the reader didn’t read the first book. He also never mentions frenzy on the character sheet though finds time to bring it back at convenience during the book.
I still think it was a good read, but it definitely lost some of the style in writing while going through this book.

I feel I wish I would have read this one before year 3. Yes, it would have gave some stuff away but in my opinion it would have flowed a bit more to see Lincoln side first.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.
