Historia
Cameron Hanes discovered his true passion for bowhunting when he was twenty. Inspired by the physical challenges of stalking elk in the Oregon wilderness—traversing mountainous terrain, braving erratic weather, and evading his quarry’s even more dangerous predators—he began an ever-evolving journey of self-improvement. To become the best bowhunter of wild elk, to the caliber he believed he could be, Cam realized he would need more than archery skills.

Few books have sparked a light on my like this one
Revisado: 03-11-25
I thought it will be a motivational book like many others. How wrong I was. It is a fascinating real account of a regular guy, with a family, a regular job, and personal difficulties, who kept hammering over decades to become the beast he is. My mindset and the way I see my self in the mirror has changed because this book.

Historia
Plenty of experts argue that anyone who wants to develop a skill, play an instrument, or lead their field should start early, focus intensely, and rack up as many hours of deliberate practice as possible. But a closer look at research on the world’s top performers shows that early specialization is the exception, not the rule. David Epstein examined the world’s most successful athletes, artists, musicians, inventors, forecasters and scientists. He discovered that in most fields—especially those that are complex and unpredictable—generalists, not specialists, are primed to excel.

Historia
We live in a world that’s obsessed with talent. We celebrate gifted students in school, natural athletes in sports, and child prodigies in music. But admiring people who start out with innate advantages leads us to overlook the distance we ourselves can travel. We underestimate the range of skills that we can learn and how good we can become. We can all improve at improving. And when opportunity doesn’t knock, there are ways to build a door.

Great stories
Revisado: 12-04-24
I think the book was very entertaining, tons of good stories with good points. However, I see this like Adam grant trying just to push his own ideas forward instead of contrasting them with other things. For example if you talk about greatness in one instrument by telling the story of a professional who only practice or play as he call it, compared with other million of virtuosos, you will find that they are very different.

Historia
The definitive biography of a legendary athlete. The Shrug. The Shot. The Flu Game. When most people think of him, they think of his beautiful shots with the game on the line, his body totally in sync with the ball - hitting nothing but net. But for all his greatness, this scion of a complex family from North Carolina's Coastal Plain has a darker side: He's a ruthless competitor and a lover of high stakes. There's never been a biography that encompassed the dual nature of his character and looked so deeply at Jordan on and off the court - until now.

Historia
CrossFit trainer Ben Bergeron has helped build the world's fittest athletes, but he's not like other coaches. He believes that greatness is not for the elite few; that winning is a result, not a goal; and that character, not talent, is what makes a true champion. His powerful philosophy can help anyone excel at all aspects of life. Using the dramatic competition between the top contenders at the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games® as a background, Ben explores the step-by-step process of achieving excellence and the unique set of positive character traits necessary for leveling up to world-class. The mindset and methodology that have produced some of the greatest athletes in the world's most grueling sport can work equally well for golfers, lawyers, artists, entrepreneurs - anyone who's willing to commit totally to becoming better than the best.

Ashur Yonan is going nowhere fast: an eighteen-year-old college dropout living with a mom who doesn’t understand him, mourning the death of his father five years earlier and working a dead-end food service job. The only good thing he has going for him is his girlfriend Kiki, but she’s leaving soon for college on the East Coast. It’s getting harder for Ashur to believe he still has the potential to make something great out of his life.

Good story but was expecting something very different
Revisado: 10-29-24
I have to admit that I am a PBD fan. I love his work and I consider him the most legit and intelligent influencer in the business world. The story telling in the book is great, however I was expecting something very different. He had promoted this book in ways that it is kind of misleading on what the book delivers at the end

Conquer with God
Revisado: 09-09-24
I love this audiobook. Recently I am struggling with my life as an immigrant trying to rise a family. This book showed me how to apply eternal truths such as divine guidance, pray, faith, hard work, trust in Gods time, etc. into one’s life. It is amazing how a normal, day to day human finds purpose and hope even in hard times. The stories from the perspective of a husband and father struggling to put food on his family’s table is very emotional as I myself find in similar spots from time to time.

Finally sales book for d2d
Revisado: 09-03-24
I have read over 10 books about sales in the last year. I just got to understand that every sales industry and modality is so different that sales techniques that would work in one won’t do it in the other.
Specially for d2d, this is the best book.

Historia
Tim Kennedy has a problem; he only feels alive right before he’s about to die. Kennedy, a Green Beret, decorated Army sniper, and UFC headliner, has tackled a bull with his bare hands, jumped out of airplanes, dove to the depths of the ocean, and traveled the world hunting poachers, human traffickers, and the Taliban. But he’s also the same man who got kicked out of the police department, fire department, and as an EMT, before getting two women pregnant four days apart, and finally, been beaten up by his Special Forces colleagues.

What a fantastic book. Tim Kennedy is one on millions, yet when you read about his life, you will find that the most common thing in his life is failure. What helped him to overcome those failures is his work ethic and commitment. What a book
