Historia
Sutton Spencer's ideas for her life were fairly simple: finish graduate school and fall in love. It would be a lot simpler if she could pinpoint exactly what she should do when she graduates in less than a year. Oh, and if she could figure out how to talk to a woman without feeling like a total mess, that would be great, too. Charlotte Thompson is very much the opposite.

Nice but so obvious
Revisado: 01-23-25
I liked it overall but it was so obvious and the author has nothing to do with this but the performance of the person reading this was so annoying. Does she realize that most of us are listening with EarPods? She would go super high in her voice and then whisper and soooo freaking sharp voices. It was very difficult to pay attention to anything else but her annoying way of portraying this characters.

Interesting book if you like the murderers sided stories
Revisado: 11-11-23
Great performance from the narrator.
Truman forgot the victims.
There is a lot of sympathy for the killers. One of the killers.

Historia
Seductresses and she-monsters, nymphs and demi-goddesses, populate the famous myths of Ovid's Metamorphoses. But what happens when the story of the chase comes in the voice of the woman fleeing her rape? When the beloved coolly returns the seducer's gaze? When tales of monstrous transfiguration are sung by those transformed? In voices both mythic and modern, Wake, Siren revisits each account of love, loss, rape, revenge, and change. It lays bare the violence that undergirds and lurks in the heart of Ovid’s narratives.

So lovely but God is here
Revisado: 02-17-23
It’s a lovely thing to listen to. But at the end the presence of God is very strong. Even if you are like me and you don’t believe try this one just based on the idea of something that can be better for yourself.

Do you really want to listen to an unknown memoir?
Revisado: 06-07-22
Who is this person, why did audible recommended this one? I have no idea, but I'm half way to it and it's probably one of the most boring and pointless book I had listened. I'm so annoyed I have to complete it.
Really, do yourself a favor and maybe listen to someone who has done something or a novel or mystery or something else.
She tries to be funny. She yells and make obvious parts like she discovered a huge thing and is not.
Sorry but no.

Historia
Reese almost had it all: a loving relationship with Amy, an apartment in New York City, a job she didn't hate. She had scraped together what previous generations of trans women could only dream of: a life of mundane, bourgeois comforts. The only thing missing was a child. But then her girlfriend, Amy, detransitioned and became Ames, and everything fell apart. Now Reese is caught in a self-destructive pattern: avoiding her loneliness by sleeping with married men.

Extremely boring
Revisado: 01-12-22
I’m sorry but the story it’s extremely boring. It goes back and forward in family and other things to give background but it’s not interesting and tedious to follow.
It took me a looooot of time to finish it.
