Would you consider the audio edition of How to Listen to and Understand Great Music, 3rd Edition to be better than the print version?

This is one of the occasions where listening to the text is an unparalleled experience, because, after all, it is music which is the subject. This said, having a printed guide will help greatly . Amazon sells Greenberg's book by the same title.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Greenberg himself is the best character. And character he is. He is a brilliant lecturer who is thoroughly memorable. He is captivating, engaging and thoroughly entertaining. More importantly he is witty and often had me howling with laughter.

Which character – as performed by Professor Robert Greenberg – was your favorite?

There were many famous composers who Greenberg discusses with great fervor, but the one which I enjoyed most was his depiction of Hector Berlioz.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The detailed analysis of Beethoven's fifth symphony was excellent and insightful, but nothing compared to listening to Schubert's Erlkönig for the first time.

Talk about moving.

Any additional comments?

This has become my most prized audiobook. Most important, I have learned so much about Western Music, and this course has managed to enrich my life in ways I could not have imagined.

You will not be disappointed.

Would you consider the audio edition of Ghost in the Wires to be better than the print version?

The narrator BECOMES Mitnick. One of those occasions where the narration adds immensely to ones sense of immersion.

What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?

The narrator is extremely skilled, and it feels like its actually Mitnick telling his story.

What does Ray Porter bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sense of immersion. Superb narration.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Good humor and fabulous suspense. Gave me great insight into the life of the hacker.

Any additional comments?

From above its clear that I simply loved this audiobook. One of the most enjoyable Ive listened to. And dont fear... its not too technical and easy to follow Mitnick's hacking exploits.
