Historia
Many of us find ourselves caught somewhere between unbelieving activists and inactive believers. We can write a check to feed starving children or hold signs in the streets and feel like we've made a difference without ever encountering the faces of the suffering masses. In this book, Shane Claiborne describes an authentic faith rooted in belief, action, and love, inviting us into a movement of the Spirit that begins inside each of us and extends into a broken world.

Dr. Glover believes there are men who suffer what he calls the "Nice Guy Syndrome". These men listen, offer advice, and jump at the chance to help. But no matter how hard they try to please others, their own lives are incomplete. Here Dr. Glover offers guidance on how to take back control. He suggests ways to achieve fulfillment in emotional, physical, and professional relationships. By redefining his priorities, any man can create the life he always wanted.

A Thought Leader With Real Presence and Insight
Revisado: 09-07-18
Overall, this book if taken to heart will go deep into your soul and shift you into new levels of living. It does a great job of lifting off other's expectations and getting to more of your unique purpose and design. I also like that it does say to know your limits, but maximize your strengths step-by-step to be willing to get uncomfortable because you know that is where the growth happens. Then, you can lift the bar as what was uncomfortable becomes more natural.
It also emphasizes the power of now over the hopes of waiting for happiness or fulfillment.
I give it 4 stars because I think he diminishes too much the value of family by putting your purpose first. Your true purpose should provide greater value to your family and help them grow with you. Listening to those you love most can help you more deeply understand it as well. Your purpose and family should not be at odds at each other as too many men already make the mistake that their family is limiting them so they grow bitter or try to reach greatness at the expense of those who love them most. Also, I think there is too much emphasis in SELF and not enough in trusting and leaning into GOD to awaken you.

Helpful examples and ways to enjoy life now
Revisado: 06-03-18
Enjoyed wisdom of having Christ be the source of all good things in this life. By knowing Jesus and living for Him find contentment in midst of changing world, churches, families, finances, etc.
Sometimes it felt repetitive or examples were not very accurate, but the heart of the message rang true and gave practical, meaningful ways to live more content today.
