Good World Building & Narration
Revisado: 09-16-19
I struggled to get through many parts of this book. The author describes things way too often and for far too long. The characters were also quite forgettable. I thought the world building was well done though.
I'm a fan of Simon Vance so no complaints from the narration. Excellent quality.

Historia
Adam Harris’s name has just appeared on a top secret list of extraterrestrial origin. Unbeknownst to him, he’s one of a handful of individuals capable of implementing a Save Point, a static moment in time he’s able to revisit over and over upon death. It’s a good thing, too. Brain cancer was turning into a real drag. The government owns the list though, and they’ve wasted no time snapping him up. According to them, he has 13 days in an alien realm to learn as much as he can before the inevitable.

Excellent Sci-Fi LitRPG Adventure
Revisado: 08-06-19
This was quite the enjoyable book. It gave me a Starship Troopers vibe with its grotesque scenes and the type of alien enemies they come across. It always felt like the humans were the underdogs which made the fight scenes more tense and uncertain, which got me hooked. I'm excited to see where they take book 2 in the series!
The performance was amazing. All three narrators did an excellent job of executing their dialogue scenes and the sound effects were well produced and placed. This style of recording, with the addition of sound effects, seems to fit this genre particularly well. I’ll have to look into more soundbooth recordings now.

A Fun, Lighthearted LitRPG Adventure
Revisado: 05-24-19
I’ve read quite a few LitRPG’s in the past couple years, but World Tree Online stands out as more unique than anything I’ve read in this genre. It has your typical progression fantasy with leveling and stats, but the action takes a backseat to the wonderful world building and character development. Not to say there isn’t any action, there is, but it’s not the focus. By the end of the book, I instantly looked up information on the next book because I was hooked, ready to follow the group through their next adventure.
The narrator, Anneliese Rennie, does a good job on portraying the different characters. My only complaint would be some of the characters lines were exaggerated. It came off as a little heavy and loud which seemed out of place, but overall, It was still a high quality narration job.

For Meredith Gale, ending her life seems like her only choice, and that choice is the reason she’s dangling by her fingertips from a bridge high above the freezing water of the San Francisco Bay. But someone or some thing has other plans for Meredith, and as her fingers slip from the cold steel of the bridge, a disembodied voice asks her a simple question: “Candidate 13: Do you wish to be saved?” Realizing her mistake too late, Meredith screams “Yes!” and instantly finds herself transported to a mysterious island, alongside hundreds of other Candidates like her.

The Paths Between Worlds does a great job of keeping the listener interested in the world and story. The pacing of the action and mystery elements is what really pulled me in. It kept me coming back for more!
Kate Reading does a great job depicting the different characters. Always a pleasure listening to her read!

Promising First Book
Revisado: 12-03-18
This book came as a great surprise to me. Some of my favorite books had great back and forth banter between the different characters or heroes. Web of Eyes provides much of that plus more. One of my favorite authors is Michael J. Sullivan, and this book has a very similar style to his when it comes to character progression and storytelling elements, which is a major plus in my book.
Luke Daniels does an excellent job of narrating the characters in this book. To be frank, I mainly picked it up because Luke is my favorite narrator when it comes to audio books. I left enjoying the book as much as I enjoyed his narration!

This small anthology is a collection of short stories and drabbles that feature Death and desolation in varying degrees. Whether it is a lonely man travelling through a dead England, a post nuclear journey home, a man in chains, the apocalypse caused by an innocuous plant, hope from the infected, or nocturnal visitations, they all offer the loneliness and isolation.

Well written short stories.
Revisado: 11-16-18
I thoroughly enjoyed listening to these collection of short stories. I will warn that these stories are on the darker side, but if that's what you are expecting going into it, it will be quite enjoyable.
I thought the narrators performance was really well done. my only complaint would be the equipment that was used to record the audio. At times I could hear feedback from the mic and the narrators voice seemed a bit muddled. If better equipment were to be used, I'd increase the rating to a 4 or 5.

Worth a Listen!
Revisado: 10-15-18
A very entertaining science fiction novel. This had a ton of action and never felt like it slowed down. The authors portrayal of technology and how it affects society was intriguing and was one of my favorite parts about the book. The characters were also fleshed out and had me coming back for more.
The narrator did a fantastic job bringing the characters to life.

I wasn't the biggest fan of the of the previous book due to too many side characters, but this iteration brings back the focus to the main characters and more of why I enjoyed the original trilogy so much. As always, Luke Daniels does an amazing job narrating.

Great Story
Revisado: 07-23-18
This series has been one my favorite underrated sci-fi books that I’ve read/listened to so far. The main character, Lotus, is such an intriguing character that it gave me the “one more chapter” vibe to find out what happens next. It also had me laughing out loud a few times as it blends the action and comedy together very well.
The narrator does a fantastic job of bringing the story to audio and portraying each character with finesse.

Worth a listen, but not that great.
Revisado: 06-21-18
Coming from someone who's immensely enjoyed the first three books in the Magic 2.0 series, I was pretty disappointed in this book. It felt more like a side story than a main entry into the series. The banter between the wizards were still just as entertaining as the other books, but I quickly got bored when the book focused on the non-wizard characters in the story. It's definitely still worth a listen, especially for Luke Daniels great narration.
