the whole book was just the inner workings of a fictional military, I didn't feel connected to any of the characters, there was very little action, probably the worst book I have listened to on audible.

A good story

if you can turn off reality for yourself, it's an ok story. I'm in it now so I'll finish it, but (slight spoiler) the end of the third book made me want to stop, it was the most ridiculous of all the stupid moments our boy "the librarian" puts himself into.

the whole story flip flops between the characters being smart, capable, intuitive badasses when they need to be, to being criminally stupid and naive, just for them to suddenly become badasses again when the chips are down to get out of the bind they're stupidity put them in.

Repeat over and over again.

this has to be one of the best deals on audible right now, 9 books and it never got repetitive, the characters were great and the story always fresh and exciting, I can't recommend this enough, the narrator was absolutely awesome as well.

I would give it a 5 I love everything about it, but the amount of wrong names and wrong words used toward the end went from comical to annoying pretty quick, it's like the author didn't proof read the last 10 chapters.

a great story nonetheless! hope there is more books to follow.

this is nothing like I normally listen to, and I was skeptical about buying it, but the fact that RC was the narrator made me take the chance.. and got dang I loved it! what a wild ride, nonstop action without it being too unbelievable, can't wait for the next one!
