In short, it was difficult for me to take in the message of this book. I feel I was missing a personal angle. This book is like a scientific literature review on the subject. Very Intellectual, not emotionally connecting to the discussed subjects.
Few people stories that are present feel synthetic and factual. This book is good for people that like lists. For example: "One Idea for a passive aggressive clients is ... such as 1) ... 2) ... 3) ...
Dr. Who and Dr.What in their recent book .... specified the following 7 best approach methods 1) ... 2) ... 3) .... In a family therapy setting, you need to watch for 1) ... 2) ... 3) ... that might lead to 1)... 2) ... 3) ... "
I think you got the idea

The emotions behind environmentalism

This book does a great job covering the emotional and self serving background behind the more extreme environmental alarmists. It puts climate change in perspective and highlights the true, often missed threats for biodiversity on our planet. I Truly believe that every environment conscient individual should read or listen to this book.
Another great point made is the emphasis of the human cost of environmentalism, the needs of developing nations and poor countries. To truly reconcile between the asperations of those people who live in civil wars and hunger and the environmental concerns of the satiated and safe western world, we need to provide those people with high efficiency energy and farming.
At some point I feel the author travels too deep into the conspiracy realm of fossil fuel industries financing environmental lobbyists for the sake of replacing nuclear power plants with fossil fuel plants.
Finally, it is quite obvious that Mr Michael Shellenberger believes that nuclear energy is the only carbon free solution capable replacing fossil fuels, this point is a rinse and repeat angle through out the book.

I joined Neil for a journey to his childhood traumas, growth and transformation. This book gave me new perspective to why had Neil write "The Game" in the first place. He shared with me his thoughts, experiences, what shaped him, his relationships with women and his relationship with himself.
Through Neil's journey I had also met myself, my won experiences, my own childhood traumas. I have gained new perspectives on events that had shaped who I am. I had grew myself.
