These were the commercial hunters and trappers who explored and exploited the First Far West, the land across the Appalachian Mountains, in the era between the Seven Years War and the American Revolution—one of the most fabled periods of American history.

Historia
In 1908, near Folsom, New Mexico, a cowboy discovered the remains of a herd of extinct giant bison. By examining flint points embedded in the bones, archeologists later determined that a band of humans had killed and butchered the animals 12,450 years ago. This discovery vastly expanded America's known human history but also revealed the long-standing danger Homo sapiens presented to the continent's evolutionary richness. Distinguished scholar Dan Flores's ambitious history chronicles the epoch in which humans and animals have coexisted in the "wild new world" of North America.

Historia
Twilight of the Gods is a riveting account of the harrowing last year of World War II in the Pacific, when the US Navy won the largest naval battle in history; MacArthur made good his pledge to return to the Philippines; waves of kamikazes attacked the Allied fleets; the Japanese fought to the last man on one island after another; B-29 bombers burned down Japanese cities; and Hiroshima and Nagasaki were vaporized. Toll's narratives of combat in the air, at sea, and on the beaches are gripping, but he also takes the listener into the halls of power in Washington and Tokyo.

The telling of World War II always seems biased in the direction of the the European theater. This book goes deep into the pacific war, detailing how the army and navy fought side-by-side to accomplish undisputed victory over imperial Japan.

I love Michael Malice books! This one seems like something is wrong with the narration. It feels really unnatural, kinda like I’m getting slammed with words rather than a book being read to me. Weird.

Powerful & revealing book exposing the CCP’s dark underbelly.
Revisado: 11-30-22
Nury’s telling of CCP’s genocidal treatment of the Uyghur people is heartbreaking and truly horrifying. When we think of genocide, most of us think about the nazi concentration camps and the mass execution of Jews and Romani. The CCP is today taking those same tactics in China, adding a 21st century twist of cyber monitoring, to prop up the Han demographic at the expense of the Uyghurs. This is a telling look at the hidden parts of the CCP. A must read.
