so it's very listenable he does a good job narrating the real problem here is you can't by its nature verify any of this information at all. it's really just hard to say whether he's just making stuff up it could be true and it could be complete fabricated nonsense it's really hard to say who's to say if any of this happened or if any of these things didn't happen it's not exactly a science.

The Narrative has problems there's definitely some questionable situations between the protagonist and his mates and at some point he comes off as a Charles Manson type figure having said that I think we've all learned a few Kinks from the story and the World building was actually kind of okay I will give this a shameful of regretful four stars out of five

Riley black a talented and accomplished author and paleontologist outdoes herself and exceeds all expectations. often playing theater of the Mind into the world of cellular biology and paleobotany. reading this book won't make you an expert on the subject but it will leave you with a better and more wholesome understanding of the world of ancient plants and how they developed. I can't recommend this book enough.

the only way I could describe this is like if a child did a really half-assed attempt at a romance novel without like the experience of understanding Romance or writing. you find yourself not caring about any of the characters at all which are very two-dimensional and not well written. I think the author should just pick a different occupation this isn't their strong suit.

I often say that books are "worth reading" this was a privilege. I feel honored to have listened to Angela Davis speak. it's made me question a great many things. This is comprised of a series of powerful speeches on the transactional nature of struggle and liberation.

the author does an excellent job of trying to Cobble together a history of transgenderism before it became a term in explaining gender nonconformity from various cultures strange to a colonialist white British author. I found the first chapter touching and felt very deeply the author's plight and struggles for growth but notice the author did not contact as far as I'm aware anyone from the cultures from which he is writing for official permission for example he did not contact any First Nations Representatives and I guess he feels entitled to do so because he's British. historically his analysis is roughly correct but his Judgment of individual historical characters is deeply flawed through his white privileged British colonialist background. and then in the last chapter explains that he does not run rough shot over history which to me didn't feel 100% correct having said that this is a deeply notable work that is worth reading but reading through the lens of someone who's read Empire of guns

works such as these are a little beyond my likes and dislikes if you understand my meaning. Octavia Butler had the capacity in the 90s to write about something close to societal collapse or apocalypse Through The Eyes of a neurodivergent person of color without the explicit language we've developed in the modern contacts now that it is in fact the year 2024. like or dislike it's worth your time to read

it's a fun book it's very obvious that Michael Crichton seems have a problem with women. also and I can't stress this enough a lot of the science is wrong but it gets a lot of people thinking about science and it's fun so I give it a 10 out of 10 despite Michael Crichton being someone I wouldn't hang out with

a retelling of The Iliad that concerns itself with the Affairs and conflicts of the Gods as well as Mortals. the book is about the transformative qualities of magic and how the constructs of gender power and relationships change. I was genuinely riveted I'm honest 10 out of 10.
