It was a sweet story but made for a 50-80 white male. Great narration for that exact group. Like listening to Joe Rogan or Howard Stern. Only getting an hour in, it could have become a different story. I’ll never know. Your grandpa will love it!

(I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.

I love a Kevin Wilson , just not this one.

This is the only poor review I’ve ever given, Im quite easy to please. The concept was fantastic. Can’t tell if it was the narrator or the writing but it dragged on ,reiterating the same things over and over again. The narrator is perfect for a Nicholas Sparks book but not for this type writing.

Enjoyed this book more than any other in recent memory. So surprising, a roller coaster of information, story telling, history and humor. This book is perfect for any reader regardless of literature preference.
I’ve found myself recommending The Library Book over and over. Wish there were 6 stars to give. Author does a wonderful job reading as well.

Mindy is the best!!! Her last book was fantastic! This book..... Eh. Good piece of advice in the last chapter.
If you read these Mindy, please know you are wonderful and your writing is hilarious, it's just that I used this months Audible credit on this and it wasn't your best work.

Oh Rachel, so lovable and neurotic. I'm glad things worked out in the end but man oh man does she hold on to every injustice. At one point I had to take a week or so off. A lot of complaining. So much poor me, why me. But....she is funny, just pretend you're listening to a funny version of you mother acting like she's the only person that ever had ANYTHING negative happen to her EVER.
