This was by far the best performance of any author read book I have listened to on audible. Most authors read their own work to save a buck, yet they are slow, stumble over their words and read very choppily.

Beyond the fantastic performance, this was also a very well researched history of remote viewing and mental phenomena. I highly recommended if you are interested in learning about what the human mind can achieve.

This narrator is fantastic! The book is very well researched with a large volume of biblical references and verses that are incorporated into the text. However, the book is as much a background of Gnostic beliefs as it is a research into the history of Satan. I enjoyed the Gnostic perspectives on numerous biblical text as well as the pseudepigrapha and Nag Hamadi texts. Unfortunately I spent 70% of the time listening to this book wondering what it had to do with Satan. If the title more accurately reflected the content, would have given the story a higher rating. If you understand what the book is really about, I’m certain you will appreciate the research that went into its creation, and the exceptional narration.

I have tried so hard, but just cannot do it! Yet another author trying to save a buck and read his own work, but can’t pronounce words properly. Also, why do these narrators read so slowly? It’s painful! Even at 2X speed it’s too slow. If you have any interest in this subject and have spent a few hours watching YouTube, TV shows, podcasts or reading another book, you will have heard a lot of this content already. Yes, there is some new information in here, but it is not worth waiting through all the commonly known information that dilutes down this book. Regarding the audio version, it is not the worst I’ve heard, but it is not good. The author shows his ignorance multiple times per chapter with incorrect pronunciations. Two of these terrible pronunciations were in the chapter I just finished and had to stop the book entirely: Galileo Galilei pronounced Galileo Galalehlee (like ukulele), and zoroastrianism pronounced Zorro Austria nism. With all these mispronunciations and some erroneous information regarding secret societies, and liberal biases towards meat eaters, who knows how much of this information is correct and how much of it the author wants to be correct? That is enough for me! I wish I would have listened to an excerpt from this book before purchasing it and the entire three book set! I’m going to see if I can get a refund.

This is a fantastic book. It takes a perspective unique to others in the field. It doesn’t discount the ideas of Jacques Valle, Von Daneken, and others, but rather builds upon them from a much different angle.

The only negative is the series is very confusing. Some books are clearly labeled volume 1 or 2 while others with the same name are not. Then there are books in the series with slightly different names and no numbers. It would be much better if the author and publisher simply numbered each book in the series. I’m looking forward to reading the next one but it’s not clear which book is next.

This is an excellently narrated summary of Rosicrucianism. It contains well researched references the reader/listener can consult for more depth of knowledge. This book is a broad introduction which does a great job laying out the topic, and it leaves it to the reader to pursue more details on their own.

This book was very well researched and written. I’ve enjoyed a couple books by this author because it is evident that he draws from numerous sources. I was very much looking forward to listening to it. Unfortunately, the narrator is the worst I’ve heard on audible. It is read extremely slowly – even two times speed seemed slow. Additionally, the narrator makes random pauses and frequently emphasizes certain words that make no sense to emphasize. It is extremely distracting. I would strongly recommend this book, but only in the print edition.

The book is written from a very arrogant perspective. Today as I wrote this review, the news is about whether her daughter, the CEO of 23 and Me, will sell your DNA to the highest bidder even if that bidder is from China. It’s just another story about how the Silicon Valley elites and their children are better than you. They are God like, better parents, better children, and all around elite. Maybe you, mere mortal, could learn something from them if you send them a few dollars more by purchasing this book.

This is a college doctorate type study on comparative mythology. The author has completed an immense amount of research and expertly grouped common ideas from all across the world and from various times. It was a very interesting book. The narrator was extremely bad. Numerous words were mispronounced. Sure there are a lot of uncommon names, but rather than reading with confidence, the narrator seemed to accentuate each word he didn’t know. A couple other narration points were extremely annoying. Rather than reading the Roman numerals XXVIII as “twenty eight”, he reads them as letters. Sometimes he even read Roman numerals as “X-X-V-1-1” , yes he interchanged the letter “i” for a one. He also read things like “pg. 25-27” as “P-G dot two five dash two seven” rather than simply reading it as “pages 25 through 27”. With complex subject matter, the narrator made a good book much harder to follow than was necessary. I’d strongly recommend the print version of this book over the poorly narrated one.

This book is more of a biography than anything; full of stories about the author’s life. I was unfamiliar with the author or how this title made it onto my extensive “to read” list. It’s unfortunate I spent the time listening to this book about the author’s life rather than listening or reading other more enjoyable and productive material. I don’t understand all the positive reviews about this book. Do people really enjoy reading about a middle age woman having an “On Golden Pond” moment when her husband tells her she “still rocks a Speedo”? The author thinks her life is full of all these life shaking epiphanies that the whole world is clamoring to hear. Uh… no, she is just normal and average like everyone else. True to the author’s inflated ego, she thinks she is the best person to read this book aloud for the audiobook version. That was not a good decision for you, dear listener, but rather a choice surely centered around saving money on a professional narrator while further glorifying herself at the same time. The audio presentation was equally as poor as the content. If you like watching The View, soap operas, or Good Morning America for your life insights, then this book is for you. If, however, you are looking for personal growth, brilliance and insight, blended with creativity, avoid this book and use your time more productively.
