Anything but cozy
Revisado: 10-08-24
I must confess that when I saw "Cozy Fantasy LitRPG" at the description, I did not know what to expect. Maybe slow history, bland characters and history, but I was surprised that I did like very much. A little less action and without the astronomical fast growing speed that other litRPG have, but with a solid history behind it.
I'm sure continuing reading it.

Historia
Me? I was an innocent bystander in a shootout between mobsters and spawned monsters. Thankfully, the System granted me the power to bring forth monsters from the void. With this ability to command magical beasts, I might just live out the apocalypse. Together with a ragtag group of survivors, we're wading through the mayhem while searching for somewhere safe. Somewhere that monsters aren't desperately trying to kill us, where the opportunistic among humanity aren't looking for easy XP.

Awesome history and performance
Revisado: 10-08-24
I loved every second of the performance. It's really great to have different "voices" and accents for the different characters. It gives a great help constructing them at my mind.
About the history, I must say that I was kinda worried when it came with the gems and combinations, thinking that it was going to enter a spiral of tries, explanations, and endless descriptions without action, but the author did not go that way. Plenty of action.
I'm looking forward for the next book.

Historia
Mild-mannered professor, James Harris, met his future wife, Rachel, when she was a student in his class. Despite her age, she was more an adventurous vixen than an innocent schoolgirl. They hid their illicit affair until Rachel graduated, and then James made her an honest woman.

A few pages more would be better
Revisado: 06-26-24
I liked the story, it had me going. I hoped for a few twists, but no big surprises there (I think that maybe I mixed a little the genre and was expecting something else).
I only think that it was kinda short and because of that the chapters finished abruptely, without wrapping it up the "scenes", and changing suddenly to another one. I liked how the "scenes" were being developed, the author writing style, and when I tought that it would continue, bam ! Next chapter.
Again, maybe I was mixing the genre or comparing with other authors styles, but I enjoyed it. There's space to evolve and I'm sure that next books will be better. I will be following the author for sure.

Historia
The Young Gods Tournament awaits. Only the victors will break through to the worlds beyond the heavens. In an unfair world where a single monster can wipe out an entire village, Thomas is not one of the chosen few. He wasn’t gifted with immense power from the moment of his birth, nor does he have a powerful backer to defend him. By the laws of the world, it’s near impossible for him to rise to the top. But where the god’s themselves have failed him, Thomas will push on and gain the strength to protect his friends, and his home, from the ever rising dangers of the world.

Enjoyed it very much
Revisado: 06-19-24
I did read the Blessed Time series from the author before, so I was looking forward to it.
My only critic is that sometimes I got the impression that at some moments the history fast forwarded without some indication, like to jump some boring part or to wrap it up and finish the book.
About the narration, I liked it very much. Clear speech and great performance.

Historia
On the battlefields of the future, death is not the end for a soldier. The Revenant Program collects badly wounded soldiers broken by war and converts them into unthinking, unfeeling cyborg weapons. Their bodies are immune to pain, their minds impervious to fear and doubt. All controlled by a neural implant called the Imperative. They are the ideal force for any mission too deadly or too difficult for normal men. A force that answers to the darkest corners of the military.

Liked and waiting for more
Revisado: 06-10-24
I liked the history development and the narration very much. It was my first time with the author and the genre, so I didn't have any expectations, but I enjoyed it a lot. Waiting for book 2.

Bland start, but had me going
Revisado: 03-08-24
Story started a little bland, and I was afraid that it would remain at the same pace and plot, but near the end they jumped space and that gave a fresh air.
I did not get the LitRPG yet, but I heard that I should expect it in the next book.
My biggest complaint was the characters names. Alice and Alex sound almost the same for me (as I'm a non-English listener). Sometimes it had Alice this, Alex that, Alex that, Alice that, really close and I got confused. I had to stop what I was doing, rewind, close my eyes and focus. I usually listen audiobooks when I'm doing basic tasks (cleaning the house, doing dishes, making grocery, etc) and this was a down for me.
Overall, I will keep following the next ones.
