good but not as good as the first set
Revisado: 04-06-25
this book was good. a little slow and drawn out in the arena and leaving you with questions. definitely not as good as the first books that go along with it. if you have not read this one yet read them in chronological order of the series not in order as written it will make more sense

Historia
On the worst birthday of my life, I come home to find my boyfriend in bed with another woman. Within hours, I’m drunk, homeless, and pledging to stay single forever. And that is when the dangerously sexy Seelie King rolls through town, looking for fae like me. Every generation, the king holds a competition for Seelie queen. But for reasons he won’t explain, Torin is looking for a charade, not a real marriage. So when I drunkenly sling insults his way, I have his attention.

Historia
Okiku wants vengeance...and she gets it. Whenever there's a monster hurting a child - the same way she was hurt 300 years ago in Japan - her spirit is there to deliver punishment. But one American boy draws her like no other. The two are pulled into a world of eerie doll rituals and dark Shinto exorcisms that will take them from the American Midwest to the remote valleys and shrines of Aomori, Japan. The boy is not a monster, but something evil writhes beneath his skin, trapped by a series of intricate tattoos.

The narrator was very boring
Revisado: 08-24-24
the narrator was very boring. she had one voice and made the book sound so boring all the way thru it. you could hardly get your own imagination going cuz her voice is so blah.
