I'd love to see more of Nellie
Revisado: 04-25-20
This book was a refreshing change of pace. I loved hearing Nellie's perspective because I was dying to know how she survived certain events in a previous book, and what happened to her after those events. I really hope we get even more of her story in future books.

Awesome continuation of this series
Revisado: 04-25-20
This is my second favorite book in the series. It's where things truly start to heat up. I couldn't stop listening because I needed to know what happens next. A few of the reveals had me absolutely shocked. I couldn't believe what was happening.

least favorite in the series
Revisado: 04-25-20
This installment in the series didn't keep my attention as much as the first one. In my opinion, it's the weakest book in the series. I was hoping for as much mystery and intrigue as the first book, and that definitely didn't happen. It was interesting seeing the relationships develop between all the characters though.

Historia
Mary Davenport is a 22-year-old idealist who worries that the world in the Progressive Era is leaving her behind. She lives isolated in the Pennsylvania countryside with her affluent and secretive family. When her father dies suddenly, Mary becomes pained with grief and increasingly suspicious of those around her. A humble servant girl has the chance of a lifetime to become a lady's companion. Costly dresses, exquisite rooms, and fine dinners are pleasant distractions from what is really happening in the house.

Decent start to a series
Revisado: 04-24-20
I thought this was a great beginning to a series. My only problem is that the switching between different characters could be confusing at times because the same narrator was used, with the same tone of voice. I would get through the middle of a character's perspective before I realized it switched to another character.

confusing
Revisado: 03-10-20
I thought this had an interesting premise. I didn't realize going into this that it's the third book in the series (which is completely my fault). It's not listed as the third book in Goodreads. That really took away from my enjoyment, and made things more confusing. I didn't really know any of the characters, so the big thing that happens wasn't a huge emotional impact on me like it was supposed to be. I plan on reading the first two books at some point, then rereading this to see if I comprehend more, and like it better.

I can't wait for more
Revisado: 02-13-20
I thought this was a great start to a new series. It took a unique twist on the angels genre that turned it into something new and fresh that I had never seen done before. I'm excited to start the second book, and get more into the story line, especially the school setting.

Historia
Drusinella is a fairy with attitude. Banished from Fairy Land, because she has the nasty habit of turning princes into frogs with no way to change them back, she now has to live without wings as a punishment. A stupid princess, Camria, saves Drusinella from fairy hunters, which by fairy law means she must grant her deepest wish. It is, of course, the one thing Drusinella hates more than princes: true love. Now the two go on an adventure to find the prince of Camria’s dreams (who, in all likelihood, has been turned into a frog by Drusinella).

Not middle grade
Revisado: 02-12-20
This was cute, but very over simplified, even for a middle grade book. It felt more like a book that would be read in fourth or fifth grade. I did appreciate the main character's snarky sense of humor.

Great continuation
Revisado: 02-12-20
I am enjoying this series. I thought book one was too cliche, but now that we're getting to know the characters, I think it's just the right amount. I'm becoming more invested in the characters, and this charming little small town. I can't wait to see what happens next.
