This is was a fun, thought provoking listen. I’m a fan of ANTM and also felt the collective OMG what was watching and supporting. I do like the balanced review and discussion with many of the shows former cast members. Highly recommend.

Insightful cautionary tale

I’ve read this book twice and remain fascinated at this account of the 1996 Everest disaster. What drives men to attain glory by scaling the highest peak, what sacrifices they make to get there, and the whole industry. I felt like I was there in then biting cold on the mountain, and I love the authors self awareness and the narrator’s skill. Highly recommend.

Loved this book! As a spice girls fan it was so great to hear a behind the scenes account. Mel C is measured, candid, funny and fair. I appreciate her sharing her challenges as well as the great bits. Highly recommend.

I just got this book yesterday and I’m done with the first two chapters. I loved Gabrielle’s first book and this second one is already shaping up to be amazing. Plus, her reading is so well done. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, haunting and evocative

I have read this wonderful book every year since 2012. I was so excited to learn that the audiobook was going to be out in January, and waited for months with bated breath. I am so happy that the author read the book herself, because she does it with such finesse, humor and confidence.

If you want a story that touches you and turns you inside out, a story that brilliantly captures Nigerian life in certain circles, then this is the book to get.

Thoughtful, sad and lovely

I have read all Chimamanda’s books and was so excited to get Zikora. I love how she can capture layered history in a short story. I love how she makes you rethink your own mistakes and assumptions.

This books comes highly recommended. I only wished it went on for longer. I’ll be thinking about the characters for some time to come, the same way I feel like Ifemelu from Americanah is somewhere out there living her life. I would love a part two.

The book I needed when I was in University in England

I haven’t even finished this book but I already love it. This is the book I needed when I was in university in the UK. This is a book I need now as I work in a place where I am a minority. Proud of the authors. Can’t wait to read more. I love the narration as well.

I loved the mother daughter performance- it’s was so fun and heartfelt and candid. Listen to this book if you love Tyra, love business and want to learn how to be brave in life. Awesome.
