Very rich and specific stories of people’s lives during the 80s HIV epidemic, both gay men and those who loved them or knew them as brothers sons friends lovers siblings, patients, co-workers, fellow citizens.
I found this to be beautiful, sad and very well-written, and full of the confounding heartbreaks of life.

Full of wisdom and heart. I read this one in tidbits to absorb it fully. To be honest, I'm not really in need of inspiration per se and I'm already a "can-do" ambitious person but I found myself moved and enabled by Marie's integrity, insight, warmth and generosity. Her writing and approach is no-nonsense and so full of experience that it cut through all the usual resistances that rise within me and hit me at a deep level.

I highly recommend this for anyone any age any gender!

A really good read that is well written and well-narrated. I highly recommend this very contemporary, funny, a little bit outrageous, engaging read that seems like a light "chick-flick" in book form but is actually an edgy feminist tale.
