Field Notes 823rd TDBN April 13, 1945 mentions this train near Magdeburg. The notes also mentions the almost 3,000 passengers and what horrible conditions they were in.
It says that this is a small insight of the horrible treatment received from the Germans.

My grandpa was in the 823rd, attached to the 30th. I have been researching his Tour de France over the past year. This book came up as I researched his steps. Chances are, he was one that helped these people in a small, but significant , way.

I thank the Author for his efforts to bring so many together to heal from the horrible things that happened. What a blessing in so many ways.

I will need to listen to this book several times, there is too much to ponder, one time through is not enough.

Each chapter is significant, the one on Denial is frustrating. The author had some same feelings that I can relate too. His response is high class.

God bless the liberators and those liberated.

I am horrible with reviews, just know that this book changed my life and it means a lot to me know my grandpa was nearby when this story took place.

Steve and Kevin regularly produce a podcast and I have listened to every one. These two have no hidden agenda, I don’t feel as if they are trying to sell me anything, however they do offer a life changing product.
Kevin introduced me to real estate investing around 2010 and it has changed my life.
These two are master teachers and have forgotten more than I will ever comprehend about the ins and outs of investing.
They complement each other and gladly share their knowledge to those interested.
Thanks guys!

Flipping the Solar Eclipse!

I have planned on watching the solar eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017 for the past two years.
Over 30 solar shades were acquired, solar ovens out of pizza boxes were made to make S'mores, sun tracking maps were ready, lawn chairs, blankets and pillows were near by etc.
Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday's weather was absolutely perfect for the show, however the show was on Monday.
Monday's weather was completely socked in for miles. The cloud cover was thick. It was threatening to rain. There was no chance of seeing the sun. I was even going to get in my car, during my lunch break, and drive until I could see the sun, but there was no light breaking through the clouds, anywhere.
So what does all of this have to do with the book? I Flipped the Switch.
As disappointed as I was, I realized there was nothing I could do about it.
I really did think about Kevin during this time of being so disappointed. I thought about what I could replace the frustration with and decided that the clouds weren't so bad after all.
I like monsoon season, so instead of being frustrated, I flipped the switch and was glad the monsoon showed up for a few hours on Monday.
Monday afternoon was clear again, just for spite.
Please consider purchasing this book. There are always going to be times where you are frustrated with something. Kevin shares a few things that will help you deal with those not so good times in your life.
