Historia
Dr. Sam Anderson is one of the most celebrated scientists in history. Ten years ago, he invented a device that changed the world forever. Now his life is about to be ripped apart—and his own creation may be to blame. One fateful morning, Sam discovers that his girlfriend has been murdered and that his daughter is accused of the crime. Sam believes she's innocent, but he can't prove it. There's only one thing he can do to save his daughter: confess to the crime. And so he does. But in the future, murderers aren't sent to prison. They're sent to the past.

But when real estate agent Kate announces she’s been given the listing for the town’s storied Lachlan House, it sets off alarm bells for Sara and Jack. The infamous house has a dark history, one that’s certain to haunt them all.

Good but overly complicated
Revisado: 09-02-24
The story was too complicated. It was a good premise, but I could not follow everything very well.

You lost me when you started using woke language.
Revisado: 12-16-22
I understand what you were getting at, but once you attributed privalege to people and referred to their skin color, you lost my support. The world is divided enough without having to read about it in self help books.

Her first two books in this series are wonderful.
Revisado: 04-22-19
There are a few corny scenes but they actually work in the story and are amply made up for in the complex, but not overly so, plot with much depth. I would not change a thing. Keep up the good work Ms. Deveraux! I'm hooked.

I have not finished the book yet, but so far it is good. I believe anyone bored by it is simply not paying attention. There is excellent character development and an intricate, but not overly complicated plot. I would definitely recommend this book.

Historia
This explosive new audiobook challenges many of the long-held assumptions about blacks, about Jews, about Germans and Nazis, about slavery, and about education. Plainly written, powerfully reasoned, and backed with a startling array of documented facts, Black Rednecks and White Liberals takes on the trendy intellectuals of our times as well as historic interpreters of American life.

One word to describe this book...dangerous
Revisado: 05-31-18
Thomas Sowell brilliantly dismantles the myths perpetuated and utilized by history revisionists to control the narrative of soft expectations, so called evils of the west and white privilege. This book puts history in perspective, showing the readers that no culture is completely innocent.
