Good job, Andrew. Oh yeah, you too Lee. I could feel a different vibe, pacing in the flow, especially early in the story. Usually the story unfolds a bit slower and doesn't feel threachere need to make each situation so clearly explained. Reacher, even concussed, seemed more open, obvious in his willingness to accept his situation. My relationship with Reacher felt strained, not normal. It turned out well, even though I felt Knight was too good to be true and was, somehow going to surprise Reacher, as a bad actor.

Jack and Katy Ryan

I have 4 daughters, so I appreciated the father/daughter relationship, watching Katy succeed and the pride and the success resulting in Katy being thrust into one chaotic situation after another. I spent 20 yrs in the Corps and our father/daughter dynamic reflected a sense of reciprocating dependency that strengtthened our own sense and need to lead and be led. Thanks

Love Chase and Penny AND the entire team. Chase, and addition of Kodiak, seemed be the entire focus of the story. Felt like Cap was late something.

John and the EMP

I couldn't tell for sure where the individual books, except the 1st and last, books. began or ended. The characters were solid and distinct, even tho Phoenix was not a surprise or the mistake. Diane was probably accurate but disappointing in the beginning. She came around. Having 4 girls myself, I was disappointed with Emma's portrayal. The boys were too perfect but still well done. John's ideas were in equal doses, realistic and idealistic. Doomed to fail as the 1st blows were landed and always adapting, overcoming as every worthwhile fight matures. Thanks

This story left little to criticize, less to feel unsatisfied or that something was wanting in its telling. The depth into the seriousness of the routine of the SEAL experience was tempered by the individual personalities of those that I grew closer to as the tale sped to its inevitable conclusion. Well told and well read, thanks
BTW it is Marine Corps, silent "s", and so it is for "corpsman".Distracting but forgiveable.

I liked the different version of zombie, aka Variant, although I was strained to understand the bee/antlikr, apparent socialistic group existence. This approach makes an argument for logical thought and forward thinking that is impossible to imagine.in this world that has come to be. Also, I have often wondered about a cure, any cure. Does it cure the patient of the virus/disease, or is it more of a vaccine that must be in the system for prepping the body to resist he virus, or does it save the body AND reverse the physical effects of the affliction? Or does it end the progress of the virus by killing the host and stopping the spread of the virus to another host?
Some of the NZ expressions were obvious and easy and took no translation, BUT a couple made you think because the expression, sometimes due to the audible version prevents the mental/visual cognitive association that comes with actually seeing the word in print. The last occurrence was when the Dee's found the note, or "tic,", on the front door. Tic? I am sure had I been reading this it would have been obvious the term was short for "ticket". However, in my head I had, for a sec,, seen a blood engorged insect! Which in context didn't seen completely unreasonable! Anyway, the series was both surprising and enjoyable, thank you.

Great! Tho average Cap D Chase yarn. Space filling Chase moaning and groaning about the trails and tribulations of leadership and responsibility falls on deaf ears, mine anyway. He is the boss and he cares, Yada Yada! That isn't effective for subordinates in the real world and is just as tedious in print, or in an ebook. Maybe less. The egg and the Astor aspect was great. I love checking out the way Cap "spins" history. Someone has to tell it and someone, myself here, will relish in the telling!

New Ways to Think

Love Freddy, or Freddie, whichever. New partners are always, and should be, a difficult transition. Either that or the previous partner was nothing to live up to. Decker was, almost, his usual self, and that's to say he was as vexing as the case, or cases, ever could be. Decker seems to be doing the Spock transformation., in that he's becoming more human -like and less rigid and stoic. His character is surprising each time I find myself looking over his minds, and his infinitesimally small emotional shoulder. Nice tie in with the young version of Decker, too. His status as a consultant, assigned a partner, makes no sense, but is only a distraction initially and gets my attention each time. Very good storyline, thanks DB.

Reznick vs the mob! Not a fair fight, bad guys need more bad guys! Don't threaten my daughter 'cuz that'll just make me angry and you won't like me when I'm angry. Not much finesse in this one, but everyone loves an underdog. Finding himself defending both his daughter and his home turf, Reznick seems a bit off his game. All well that ends well, as they say,.
