Strange Story
Revisado: 03-18-23
I found this book to be very strange in its story line. I could not finish listening to the book and went to the last chapter to confirm the outcome I anticipated.

Twists and Turns
Revisado: 07-03-22
The story keeps the reader on the edge and changes plots at every turn. Couldn’t put the book down and was surprised at the paths the story took. A really enjoyable, interesting, well written book.

Historia
There’s chaos in Hollywood at the end of the New Year’s Eve countdown. Working her graveyard shift, LAPD detective Renée Ballard waits out the traditional rain of lead as hundreds of revelers shoot their guns into the air. Only minutes after midnight, Ballard is called to a scene where a hardworking auto shop owner has been fatally hit by a bullet in the middle of a crowded street party.

Ballard & Bosch Winners
Revisado: 11-16-21
Mr Connelly is one of my favorite authors and enjoy his books, but this one is Connelly’s best ever. Story keeps your interest until the very last line. Narrators gave a stellar performance, and Ms. Welliver’s use of different voices were very effective. Hope Mr. Connelly pairs these two individuals again and again.

Historia
Grand Central Station is hiding more than just an underground train system. When the body of a young woman is found in the tower suite of the Waldorf Astoria, Assistant DA Alex Cooper and Detective Mike Chapman find themselves hunting for a killer whose only signature is a carefully drawn symbol carved into his victims’ bodies, a symbol that bears a striking resemblance to train tracks. After a second body is discovered in a terminal alleyway, attention shifts to the iconic transportation hub and the potential for a bigger attack.

Good Plot - Great Narration
Revisado: 05-30-16
Always enjoy the suspense and the history Ms. Fairstein includes in her books. She describes the city, the buildings and individuals so well I can actually see them as I am listening. Ms. Rosenblat's narration is, as always, superb - she could read anything and make it come to life. I normally choose the books being read by Ms. Rosenblat. Well done and worth a credit.

RICH ARE ALWAYS FORGIVEN
Revisado: 03-11-15
I have been a fan of Stone Barrington and the early books had, at least the appearance of, a crime mystery with good and bad guys. Now it seems if you have enough money there is no crime that is punished, and previous crimes are always forgiven. And the politics - a little goes a long way but the bias in this book is way too much.
Mr. Roberts narration is great and he really saves the writing. He could read the phone book and make it interesting.

A Little Too Graphic
Revisado: 05-29-13
Enjoyed the story, characters, the narrator and the plot; however, some scenes were just a tad too graphic for my taste. Sometimes it is better to imagine a scene or action rather than to have it spelled out in such detail.

Danger, excitement and love - this is how the glamorous Phryne Fisher is determined to live her life in her second enticing adventure. Walking the wings of a Tiger Moth plane in full flight ought to be enough excitement for most people, but not Phryne Fisher, amateur detective, woman of mystery, as delectable as the finest chocolate and as sharp as razor blades.

Terrible Narrator
Revisado: 05-06-13
I watched a Ms. Fisher program on PBS and thoroughly enjoyed it. I then downloaded this book and the narrator completely turned me off. So much so that I could not get past the first five minutes.
Ms. Greenwood's books are very entertaining and enjoyable, but they needs and deserve a better narrator.
