Not a good audible book.

I love Steven Pressfield's work. I've read Gates of Fire 7 times (I read it annually). However, I wish I wouldn't have purchased the audible version of this book. The book itself is fantastic and a wealth of information. But it didn't work for me as an audio book. I should have spent the money on a paperback that would allow me to take my time, make notes, and have it on hand for reference. It's a solid book but I don't think an audio book is the right choice for this type of information.

Well worth your time

I've always been intimidated by the size of this book both in print and Audible. However, after listening to this version I'm inclined to listen again. The story is fantastic and the performance is amazing. A classic that everyone should read/listen to at least once.

So many good bits of information

I found this audio book to be very helpful and inspiring. Unfortunately, I'll probably also buy the book. There so much good information that it's hard to keep everything straight without a physical book or notes. my only complaint is the audible version has very long pauses between chapters. Editing for audio would have made it a bit better but overall terrific information and terrific narration!

Another Solid Book from Dr. Peterson

A fantastically entertaining listen!

To be honest, I struggled with the book for the first few minutes or so but once he started his storytelling I was hooked. I listened while walking around our property and the neighbors probably thought I'd lost my mind each time I laughed out loud. The stories are are hilarious and heartfelt. I loved every minute and would recommend everyone take a listen. I'd also suggest Mr. McConaughey consider book narration for other books in the future.

A powerful story of a humble warrior.

unlike most war stories I've listened to, this one is not full of false bravado or military infatuation. Rather, it's a powerful story of doing the right thing. It's a story of self sacrifice both on the battlefield and off.

Great information for Power of Zero followers

This book really helped me understand the how of the Power of Zero in regard to life insurance. It's certainly not as easy as just putting lots of cash in a policy. There are many other moving parts that need to be addressed and this book shows you how.

I'd heard the story of these events but had never dug deeper to learn more. This was a wonderful introduction to the story that makes me want to learn more. A quick listen I won't soon forget.
