Historia
Frankie Elkin is an average middle-aged woman, a recovering alcoholic with more regrets than belongings. But she spends her life doing what no one else will - searching for missing people the world has stopped looking for. When the police have given up, when the public no longer remembers, when the media has never paid attention, Frankie starts looking. A new case brings her to Mattapan, a Boston neighborhood with a rough reputation. She is searching for Angelique Badeau, a Haitian teenager who vanished from her high school months earlier.

Bait and switch
Revisado: 01-31-23
I purchased this title through Audible plus. I have around 5 hours left of the book. Today I received a message that it is no longer available through Audible plus. If I wanted to finish listening to the book I could purchase it. I was told by the customer service person that this was not the decision of Audible. It was the choice of the author. This was a free selection to get reviews of her book. I have been an Audible member for around 10 years. This feels deceptive. I believe that once a title has been downloaded we should be able to complete it. I would expect Audible to see that this happens.
I enjoyed what I listened to so far. So I am left with choices. Do I pay for a "free" title? Do I keep my membership? In this case BUYER BEWARE!

Good Story.....
Revisado: 11-25-22
The story was good, the narration was painful. The female character made every single sentence end in a whine.

Historia
Elsa is seven years old and different. Her grandmother is 77 years old and crazy, standing-on-the-balcony-firing-paintball-guns-at-men-who-want-to-talk-about-Jesus crazy. She is also Elsa's best and only friend. At night Elsa takes refuge in her grandmother's stories, in the Land of Almost-Awake and the Kingdom of Miamas, where everybody is different and nobody needs to be normal.
