My expectations. may have been too high. when I pre-ordered the book there was no summary. therefore I was hoping for a novel with first person POV. But what was published is a history. Much of the book has already been published although in edited format. if you are a true fan buy the book but don't expect much.

Great Book.

I really loved this book. Very enjoyable. If you are already a fan you will not be disappointed. If you have not read any of his books it is OK as this is a stand alone story and does not really need to understand references to things that Happen in the other books. You are lucky as you stumbled on a great story line with hours of enjoyment ahead! Can't wait until their next adventure.

Entertaining

I always love Kate Reading's narration. After years of listening to her read great stories such as Wheel of Time and Way of Kings etc, her voice is like comfort food to me. That is why I ended up finding this series as I was surfacing for what she is currently performing. Actually I found a lot of good books this way.
The story is good and keeps the plot moving. Not too deep on Character development. In the end I enjoyed all 3 books and will purchase the 4th when it comes out. There is a preview of the next book but I do not see it on the pre order list. The books are not long so if you have extra credits it is good. If you don't it is expensive. May want to see if they will role it all into one book.

Good book

At the beginning I did not think I would enjoy it, but quickly was sucked in. Will not go on about the story as you can read the synopsis. A good solid 4 star book. Looking forward to hearing the other two books. I wish all three were in one book for 1 credit. So in the end a little expensive only getting 9-10 hrs for 1 credit.

Pretty good. Must read for Brandon Sanderson fans

This is his first published novel. That being said it is good. I always appreciate Brandon's inventiveness in the methods of magic. It is worth a listen but do not expect the quality of the Mistborn or Stormlight Archives series. The production quality is so so. The audible chapter splits and actual chapter splits are not in sync. The narration is passable.

You will want to listen to the Otherland series

You are probably reading this review wondering if this book or series is worth your time and money. YES! The Otherland books is one of my all time favorites and I am not easy to please. Have patience this book takes a little time to get into and is confusing at first with it's many story lines but by the time you get to the end of Sea of Silver Light the 4 the book in the series you will sit back and go WOW! I never wanted the story to end it was so much fun. I felt like I was saying goodby to close friends. This is worth your money and time and will be a story you can return to time and time again with great enjoyment. A true classic.

A Wonderful Book and Performance Once Again!

I was very excited 2 months ago when I saw that there would be another Mistborn Book that I was wating for the day it would be released and purchased it as soon as possible. The story is great and it quite different from the other Mistborn Books. If you are a Brandon Sanderson and/or Michael Kramer fan you will not be disappointed and you do not need to read the previous Mistborn series to make sense of the story. Of course the book is better if you have read the previous series, so I would put in the time as the previous books are also fantastic. I know allot of people where disappointed about the length and I was as well. However, understanding that Brandon is very busy! hopefully on finishing the Wot series, and follow ups to the Way of Kings, I could understand why this book is not as long as I would have liked. The story does have a concrete end and can stand alone as a complete short novel. It is only the Epilogue that allows for follow up book for a series if the new characters and setting cathes on with fans. Enjoyable and leaves you wanting more and more. Overall I had a great time and I know if you are a fan you will as well.
