Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Taylor and Porter make a memorable team once more. I found this book better than the previous. An enjoyable read that I sincerely encourage people to try.

Historia
Eric is a physicist, an angel vivisectionist, and an architect of the future. He's also an accidental time traveler, stuck in the past and trying to re-create his own future. Now he's got to save the world for a better tomorrow, but not like everyone does, in general, every day. Oh, no. He has to make a better tomorrow that looks exactly the way he remembers it, or there may be no yesterday, no today, and no Eric! There is a reason he hates time travel, and it has nothing to do with physics.

Milking it all out - but it sure is good milk
Revisado: 11-21-23
This addition to the series introduced new challenges and situations that provoked chuckles or thoughts. Some seemed, in retrospect, to contribute little to the forward motion of the plot - but they were still excellent. Garon Whited has succeeded in creating a main character with depth and nuance, whose musings and doings are intriguing and challenging, often in unforeseen ways. I just wish the next book in the series was already here.

Historia
Just as Fred is settling down in his new abode, he receives word that a favor is being called in, one he promised to a dangerously powerful member of otherworldly royalty. Bracing danger, adventure, and unknown threats, Fred is instead asked to take on an entirely different role than anticipated. Acting as interim professor at one of the few universities for supernatural entities, Fred will have to navigate a strange environment, eccentric coworkers, and unenthusiastic students. Yet that alone won't be enough, for this college has more history than the tales in its tomes.

Another excellent novel about Fred F Fletcher, signed Drew Hayes. I envy those who haven’t tried this book or the series yet - you are in for a treat! And Kirby is perfect, picture perfect, as the voice actor.

Great overall story, but…
Revisado: 01-31-23
… it’s hastily or sloppily written. This book starts by changing the end of the former. Numerous occasions where people either have all the time in the world as a blade descends towards them, other times no time at all although the attack is distant. In combat adversaries switch positions and posture without the reader being informed. But if that doesn’t bother you too much, it is a great read. Excepting the common trend where more and more powerful artifacts and monsters keep getting added to the world as books go by.

Historia
Having discovered her true heritage, young Gatina is embracing her evolving role as an apprentice shadowthief. It turns out procuring things that don’t actually belong to you can be rather exciting. But the first thing a good thief must learn is how to not get caught. If the evil usurper Count Vichetral snares Gatina or her beloved family, a truly unpleasant fate awaits. So her defiant father has deposited Gatina and her brother in the last place Vichetral’s men would think to look for them: stately Palomar Abbey.

Nice but feels hurried
Revisado: 11-13-22
I’m a huge T Mancour fan, so of course I bought this book. It does not disappoint BUT I find the performer challenged by a lot of the characterizations. Her voice is perfect for Gatina IMHO, but with this series I think a lot would have been improved by having one more performer on board. Some sentences also are repetitive, making me feel the production maybe was a bit hurried.

Born into the troubled kingdom of Albermaine, Alwyn Scribe is raised as an outlaw. Quick of wit and deft with a blade, Alwyn is content with the freedom of the woods and the comradeship of his fellow thieves. But an act of betrayal sets him on a new path - one of blood and vengeance, which eventually leads him to a soldier's life in the king's army. Fighting under the command of Lady Evadine Courlain, a noblewoman beset by visions of a demonic apocalypse, Alwyn must survive war and the deadly intrigues of the nobility if he hopes to claim his vengeance.

Internering story however…
Revisado: 08-06-22
The firat thing I reacted to is the amount of gore and lengthy descriptions of how people are killed messily. This feels unnecessary to me, the plot and story is well above average without this addition. I don’t generally mind characters swearing, but I prefer a little more ingenuity than constantly and often using the f word. Historically this is also a rather modern swear so it makes no sense to me and, again, spoils rather than helps the novel. I really like the characters, plot and intrigue though and will buy the next book in the series - but I hope Ryan stays away from more in-depth descriptions of what war is like in a pike wall, for this description seems very very unrealistic to me.

Eric - part-time king, quasi-avatar, and unconventional wizard - has an epic quest before him. He must return to his lost kingdom to save it, slay a creature claiming to be a god, and navigate the terrible risks of a paradox that could undo everything! And to top it off, he's trying to raise a daughter. Nobody said being a vampire was going to be easy, but none of this was in the brochure!

Great story but...
Revisado: 06-12-21
Fugue is a great story, well performed. My foremost problem with it is that it doesn’t really advance Erik’s struggle with what has gone before, instead the book introduces - and sometimes deals with - a host of other challenges and relationships. I was hoping for more, but I will wait impatiently for part 8.

Finty does a good job but not the producer
Revisado: 07-30-20
First let me say I enjoyed this book, and Finty’s narration. I think Terry’s series would really benefit from being described from more perspectives than the Spellmongers sometimes incredibly self satisfied one. This perspective is different, although quite in line with the original. My main issue is with the production of the audiobook. To my mind it should be easy enough to get a crew of narrators to agree on pronunciation, and to a lesser degree, on at least some minor common nuances to the characters appearing in several books. This has not happened. If it had my rating would’ve been higher.

Bobiverse idea reused
Revisado: 07-31-18
This book is good. I liked it, and the performance. My only criticism is that the main ideas borrow heavily from Taylor’s books on “the Bobiverse”, including some winks and waves at those books. It is still a very good read.
