Historia
It is now six years since the secret disaster at Jurassic Park, six years since the extraordinary dream of science and imagination came to a crashing end - the dinosaurs destroyed, the park dismantled, the island indefinitely closed to the public. But there are rumors that something has survived.

Narrator bothered me
Revisado: 07-15-23
For 20 years I have loved the Jurassic Park movies (except dominion. *shudders*) and recently decided to listen to the audiobooks.
I was surprised that the books were so much more intense and graphic than the movies! While I enjoyed the overall story, I found it to be a bit long winded. And the narrator's voice and emoting skills got on my nerves. He was very bland and nasally and lacked the emotion of the moment. I liked the man who read the first novel better. He seemed to really get into it.
One thing I noticed upon finishing the book is that; I love the movies better and a little bit more, now.

Historia
After the harrowing battle against Herja, Vala and Xavyn find themselves in a new battle against time. The war between lands quickly approaches should The Divide fall, but even that concern must wait while they engage in a more dire conflict with Verdandi. She must be stopped before finding the final piece needed to end the world. To stand any chance at defeating her, Vala and the others will have to add numbers to their charge, which includes negotiations with the incorrigible Volare king.

Dazzling conclusion
Revisado: 09-28-21
Once again the narration for this story was perfection! The fateful conclusion of Vala and Xavyn kept me on edge as they winged their way to save the world they lived in.
The beautiful array of characters had to band together and put aside their differences in order to bring down a common enemy. There were several moments I thought the author would break my heart, even more where she actually did but I loved every suspenseful moment. I'm sad that the journey is over because I got so invested in these characters but I'm very pleased with where the story landed. Thankfully I have the audiobooks so I can always return whenever I want.

Captivating narration for a wondrous story
Revisado: 09-23-21
I had been wanting to read this book for a while but I never found the time to get invested like the story deserves. Thankfully I have a job that affords me 6/7 hours a day to myself driving around, so I was happy when the audiobook became available.
The story of Vala, an orphaned girl raised in a chateau with a prince she protects due to her unusual skin affliction, grabbed my attention with the first pages read. This narrator did a great job of emoting everything the characters were feeling throughout. The action and mysterious circumstances that will change Vala's life forever start happening pretty fast once you get into the world building.
There's a mixture of rich characters you grow to love... and hate. New revelations are revealed to her and a new love interst as well. Which sort of broke my heart at first but I was happy the way things worked out. There was never a dull moment from one moment to the next. I love how the book ended on such a dreamy moment of hope and promise for Vala leading into her next adventure!
