Historia
Asian American history is not made up of one single story. It’s many. And it’s a story that too often goes untold. It begins centuries before America even exists as a nation. It is connected to the histories of Western conquest and colonialism. It’s a story of migration; of people and families crossing the Pacific Ocean in search of escape, opportunity, and new beginnings.

Historia
Concerned that technology is about to chase mythological creatures out into the open (how long can Sasquatch stay hidden from Google maps?), the League for Interspecies Cooperation is sending Jillian to Louisiana on a fact-finding mission. While the League hopes to hold on to secrecy for a little bit longer, they're preparing for the worst in terms of human reactions. They need a plan, so they look to Mystic Bayou, a tiny town hidden in the swamp where humans and supernatural residents have been living in harmony for generations.

Historia
Killing the sadistic warlord known as the Dog Tongue took everything Gus Berry had, including the woman he loved. Now, all he wants is to get away from the bloody scene of their final showdown. But when he heads west in a stolen truck, a brutal snowstorm forces him to turn back—and seek refuge in the Dog Tongue’s former headquarters. Though it’s littered with human carnage, the abandoned luxury hotel has a lot to offer a guy like Gus. But in addition to soft beds and working toilets, he encounters still-lurking dangers both living and undead.

great continuation to gus's story
Revisado: 02-06-24
story was well written and performed. i liked that at each point it was unexpected and surprising the way the story went. it finishes up a couple of the side story lines, and could be the ending of the series. i think the end of the dragon is the great part, as well as the lammy parts. while i would love to see another mt man book, i would be satisfied if the series ends here.

Historia
After touring the rural areas of Panga, Sibling Dex (a Tea Monk of some renown) and Mosscap (a robot sent on a quest to determine what humanity really needs) turn their attention to the villages and cities of the little moon they call home. They hope to find the answers they seek, while making new friends, learning new concepts, and experiencing the entropic nature of the universe. Becky Chambers's new series continues to ask: in a world where people have what they want, does having more even matter?

great book
Revisado: 10-08-22
I normally don't guy short e-books as I like to have something to listen to that I can really get into for a longer period of time. That being said these books are very easy to relate to as there are only 2 main characters having a conversation. I like the narrator will add them to my list of good narrators I will look for others titles by. I enjoyed following the two characters are they travel down the road. I found these books because I had listened to another series by the author that I really enjoyed.

Historia
Hundreds of years ago, the last humans on Earth boarded the Exodus Fleet in search of a new home among the stars. After centuries spent wandering empty space, their descendants were eventually accepted by the well-established species that govern the Milky Way. But that was long ago. Today, the Exodus Fleet is a living relic, the birthplace of many, yet a place few outsiders have ever visited. As many Exodans leave for alien cities or terrestrial colonies, those who remain are left to ponder their own lives and futures.

great story and characters
Revisado: 06-18-22
Really enjoyed this one just like the previous 2. I like the environment the characters were put into. Characters are all well developed and you really want to get to know them as the story is told. I appreciate that the kids and teenage characters were not dumb and predictable. I also liked that the story is of multiple generations of characters at the same time. Author is really good at writing various ages and genders of characters. These books would make great series on tv.

I was so hoping for this story after book1
Revisado: 06-18-22
I was so hoping this story was going to be the one I really wanted to hear after listening to book one, and it was but way more. The characters are really good, and how the characters start and end was really well done. I am on book three currently. Looking forward to other audio books by this author and also the narrator.

Great book and great narrator. I enjoyed meeting each of the characters as they went about their lives. Looking forward to hearing about them again. A great change from all the scifi books about war and death. Nice to know someone is thinking about normal people living in space and what it might be like. Great job all around here.

Life at the fortified town of Sanctuary is calm. The people, with their fearless leader at the helm, have created a haven where they can live out their lives in peace and safety. With the younger generation coming into their own, it’s time for Leah to pass on all she has learned over the years. Time to tell the stories of how the world became the way it is...starting with the highwaymen of Andorra.

I have really enjoyed this audio book. Like most of my books, I like to listen for a while and then restart a few hours back as I do activities/chores. A good narrator like the one used here makes that a joy. I am glad they used a female narrator as I like when audio books use a narrator to match the main character. I laughed when I remembered the main characters were British after first thinking why did they use a British narrator? Now I am enjoying the story line even more, and I hope if one of the Spanish characters ever get a main book they use a person with an appropriate accent. Might be nice to hear the young boxers earlier story. Anyways great audio book highly recommended.
