No more Jodi Picoult for me!

I used to think she wrote good fiction. But this one made me feel very differently. Too cliche, too predictable. I quit listening in the middle. It’s feels like an ordinary Romance novel. Just my opinion though. 🎄

Very good audio book

I enjoyed this audiobook. Hearing about Elton John’s life was quite interesting. He is/was a bit different than what I had expected but not in a bad way, just a bit surprising.

At one point it seemed to be dragging on a little because it was many similar recollections of his ‘antics’ in the past.

Overall it was a very good book.

Not what I was expecting, but good none the less

This was an interesting listen and a glimpse into Alaska native life. I liked that it was not a long drawn out tale. I also liked the narrator because he wasn't just reading a script.

Good story

It turned out that this was a good story. My only criticism would be that there were a few places where it jumped around. She was married 3 times and, on occasion, I wasn't real certain which husband she was talking about.

I have listened to a few other "over the top" stars which I found unpleasant. But with this memoir, that was not the case. She had her struggles and a story to tell and I feel she did it justice. If she were to write and narrate another book, I'd give it a whirl!

I don't understand how anyone found anything to laugh at. Too much vulgarity for me to finish. She had a tough life growing up so I have compassion for that. But there were a couple parts of her story that pushed me over the edge and I had to stop listening.

Better than I first thought it would be!

In the first few minutes, I almost stopped listening. I thought it simply wasn't my "cup of tea". But I did continue listening and very much enjoyed this presentation.

I had previously listened to a book by this author and so I looked for other books by him and this was one of them. Now I want to look further and find more by him.

It was a refreshing break from much of the newer titles suggested. It was short and sweet and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

I loved this from the beginning to the end!

I was sad to see the book end. I have had great respect for Mr. Russert since seeing him on Meet The Press. After listening to this book, I have even more respect for him. He was the kind of person every parent would want to have as a child. it would have been great to meet and talk to him.

Tim was only 3 years younger than I am so it was fun to hear him talk of growing up in the '50s with talk about a few of the television shows I watched as a child.
