Historia
Queen Elizabeth II’s death ruptured the already-fractured foundations of the House of Windsor—and dismantled the protective shield around it. With an institution long plagued by antiquated ideas around race, class and money, the monarchy and those who prop it up are now exposed and at odds with a rapidly modernizing world.

Unbiased Review
Revisado: 01-14-24
I acknowledge the controversial nature of the topic and would like to emphasize that I have no personal bias. It is interesting to note that some negative reviews of this book seem to strongly hold their own opinions and disregard any stories that may offer a different perspective. I question why these individuals would choose to purchase and engage with this book.
Overall, this narrative presents a captivating story that should be approached with an open mind. When it comes to the British royals, it is prudent to approach everything written, even by them, with a grain of salt. I like how Omid Scoby outlines the information, gives the background of British tabloids and reports on his own observances.

Helen Rappaport, an expert in the field of Russian history, brings you the riveting day-by-day account of the last 14 days of the Russian Imperial family, in this first of two books about the Romanovs. The brutal murder of the Russian Imperial family on the night of July 16 to 17, 1918, has long been a defining moment in world history. Great follow up to "The Romanov Sisters"
Revisado: 08-31-21
I listened to "The Romanov Sisters: The Lost Lives of the Daughters of Nicholas and Alexandra" before I listened to this book, which was amazing. This book took a deep-dive to the last few months of the Romanov family and really explained what happened. A little slow at times, but overall was a great relay of information. The only drawback is they changed narrators from "The Romanov Sisters: The Lost Lives of the Daughters of Nicholas and Alexandra" who I really liked so I had to get used to that. At first it detracted from the story but then I got used to her voice.
