Historia
How should Christians live their faith in the public arena? In an era when Christianity is being attacked from every side - books being written charging Christians with being theocrats and trying to impose their views on an unwilling culture - what is the message of the Christian church? What does the Bible say, and what do we learn from history about the proper relationship between faith and culture? Appealing to scripture, reason, and history, this audiobook tackles society's most pressing and divisive issues.

He hits a home run as he outlines the only stratagem that will work to turn around any worldly system. The Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Chuck Colson is greatly missed!

Historia
In Chosen by God, Sproul shows that the doctrine of predestination doesn't create a whimsical or spiteful picture of God, but paints a portrait of a loving God who provides redemption for radically corrupt humans. We choose God because he has opened our eyes to see his beauty; we love him because he first loved us. There is mystery in God's ways, but not contradiction. Dr. Sproul shows how election is entirely compatible with human freedom, dignity, and responsibility.

Excellent Breakdown of Doctrine of Election
Revisado: 01-14-15
I am a longtime Methodist and I have long looked at the doctrine of Election with a different set of glasses from Mr. Sproul. However, his presentation and documentation of the subject have given me reason to reevaluate my position!
I thought I had this all figured out. I guess I don't!!!

Historia
"Forty-four percent of the American population is convinced that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead sometime in the next 50 years," writes Sam Harris. "Imagine the consequences if any significant component of the U.S. government actually believed that the world was about to end and that its ending would be glorious. The fact that nearly half of the American population apparently believes this...should be considered a moral and intellectual emergency."

dissapointed
Revisado: 05-24-08
I was hoping for a well reasoned book that dealt with substantive issues. He didn't get it done. The book sounds like a sophmoric temper tantrum more than anything else. He clearly misses the mark on many of his criticisms of Christianity. He speaks boldly about subjects he is obviously clueless. He completely bypasses the crux of Christianity and that is the resurrection. He has no answer for it. As far as this "letter" is concerned, "return to sender"!

ahhhh ... the wonders of barsoom!!!!!
Revisado: 01-26-04
i can't express how thrilled i was to find erb's martian series available on audio. i first became familiar with john carter when i was 15 (1966). i devoured every book in the series and i found the memories and excitement of my youth was renewed as i listened with rapt attention to the story of my long lost hero!!!! i have read other reviews critizing the reader. while i admit he is no ed herman or james earl jones, none the less i found the story was as wonderous and perhaps more so than when i was 15. i was listening to the story during the time the mars rover was sending back it's first pictures. i wouldn't have been surprised at all to see tars tarkas on a thoat ride past, or to see the airships of helium in the distance. in a time where movies such as star wars and lord of the rings overpower people with visual effects, the simplicity of this story allows my mind to create the background of the story. i smiled as i recalled the images of the story i created when i was 15. i could even see my room in the ole homestead where i first encountered dotar sojat! i gave the cd's to a friend of mine at church who has young boys that love star wars and lord of the rings. he smiled, said he didn't like the reader, but that the story was awesome!!
i whole heartedly recommend the martian series to you .... listen to these 5 and then head off to your local barnes and noble and get the rest. you won't be dissapointed!!!
