The sections on logic had me basically debating people for fun because I could easily see the flaws in their logic/reasoning & I really enjoy getting people to think. Just have leaned on the side of non-confrontational, so this is new to me. The book has given me the confidence to engage in conversations. Which is invaluable. My only criticism is the multiple authors part & efforts to establish what part of the manuscript belonged to whom kind of through me off. Whenever the narrator would say “I (so-and-so)” it felt disruptive & confusing to me personally. Overall however I’ve become free marketing for this book! Haha

I grew up in a Christian home but being a mom wasn’t really something I ever dreamed of or prepared for. Parenting, I suppose, isn’t usually something you think much about until you’ve already become one. This book was so hopeful in giving me something to shoot for. A direction to go. I want to read this with my sister in law (who now has a baby one year younger than mine) & our husbands. I know everyone would be inspired by this book & excited for the parenting journey ahead!

I didn’t realize this was a devotional until after I started listening. I listened to it more as a regular book while going on walks with my baby or putting laundry away or cooking. This listen made me look forward to those activities. In this hustle culture (maybe just as adults in general) we need reminders to have fun & how to have fun. Annie does a great job of that with this book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this man’s fictional writings but I was just blown away by this theological piece. Pleasantly surprised by how simply he put things so that the layman can understand. The analogies used were on point—though I suppose we’d expect nothing less from such a legendary author. Extraordinary to basically have a former atheist explain how Christianity logically makes sense, what it is, & that it is in fact the truth. I will be listening to this multiple more times.

What a delightful listen! Mandy did a stellar job narrating her book. People who really love Jesus will beautifully spill Jesus on everything they touch. Such is the case with this title. I’m not a mother yet but I do plan to be someday soon. So I appreciated the portions on parenting. I needed to hear someone talk about having fun with it because I’ve had this mindset that my fun will end when my husband and I decide to step into the roles of parents. An unfounded fear. This was a lovely reminder that every goal oriented person needs infused into their lives so we don’t let life pass us by or miss out on the moment.

Bob is such a brilliant writer. I did not want to miss a sentence. The stories he tells in this book are so fun to listen to and he ties each story seamlessly to a truth or life lesson. The fact that he narrates his own book is a huge plus. I enjoy the fact that he is very down to earth (not hyper religious) about his faith and makes it easy to understand, while also capturing the wonder of it all. Now that I’ve listened all the way through, I’m going to listen to it over again. If you like whimsy and like to laugh, you will enjoy this book.
