Historia
As the daughter of Hollywood's sweetheart, Leah Veronica can't even buy a coffee without finding her face on a magazine stand, so it's no wonder she's launching her first fashion line in secret. With it debuting at New York Fashion Week in just under a month, extra time in the spotlight is the last thing she needs.

Not buying it

While I enjoyed this book, and I wouldn't dissuade someone from reading it, I felt Cory was a bit of an arrogant jerk. The emphasis was definitely on his alpha versus showing more of his softer side. I struggled the most with the secret Leah V clothing line though. Her name is Leah Veronica....which would make it quite obvious whose clothing line it was, making her devastation a bit much for me.

Historia
In early 2018, Larry Nassar, the former doctor for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University, was sentenced to serve out the rest of his life in prison after pleading guilty to a variety of sex crimes. New York Times best-selling author Mary Pilon and Carla Correa chronicle the scandal from its inception, tracking the institutions that Nassar hid behind, the athletic culture that he benefited from, and the women who eventually brought him to justice.

Horrified

As a mother of 3, this story makes me physically ill. There truly is evil in this world, and hearing the stories of these poor women being silenced, cast aside. There just aren't words. We, as a society, need to do better, be more aware. This book will definitely open your eyes. My utmost respect for sharing your stories so that the next child may be heard.
