lots of fun with a growing scope

The only con I found was the story was a bit slow in the middle. I actually fell asleep listening for an hour or so and when I woke up it was like I hadn't missed anything. That being said I definitely do recommend this series.

And since when are ghosts the same as monsters? Awkward. But when the other option is certain death, it seems like it’s worth giving it the old college try.

good story terrible execution

I liked the story of the archmage reanimating into a young noble. the problem is the way the author tells his story. everything is dictation. practically the only time the mc speaks is him giving orders. The entire novel is exposition with it all being tell not show. it's completely the wrong way to write a novel and I hated it by the time the story was over

Good, but why waste time creating abridged books?

perfect example of how not to do an audiobook

Narrator could be good but he's hard to understand because he does voices for the characters, though they all sound almost identical. music playing in the background at times makes it even harder to understand. plus it's so abridged that everything good about the book is completely missing.
The worst thing about it is that they don't even tell you that it's abridged. I feel like I paid to see a movie and all I got was the trailer
