Historia
It was summer in the mountains when five small children vanished from their nursery school picnic. The heat was stifling that day, the tinkle of an ice-cream van in the air.... Three-and-a-half years later, in the dead of winter, the children are returned to their families...one by one. All except for Ivy - the granddaughter of Homicide Detective Kate Wakeland. The other four children say Ivy is dead.

Ridiculous
Revisado: 11-24-20
Narrator sounds like an Australian attempting an American who's trying to do an Australian accent. The story felt like it was made up as they went along. The ending was ridiculous.

Historia
In the ice, east of the Black Rock, there is a hole into which broken children are thrown. Yaz's people call it the Pit of the Missing, and now it is drawing her in as she has always known it would. To resist the cold, to endure the months of night when even the air itself begins to freeze, requires a special breed. Variation is dangerous, difference is fatal. And Yaz is not the same.

Mind drifted through 3 chapters..
Revisado: 05-13-20
Much love to Mark Lawerence. Trilogy of "Book of the Ancestor" was excellent. However, Im not here to review those books. I have nothing really to break down other than it is extremely boring. I honestly can't stand the main character. I went for a long walk and my mind drifted through 3 chapters before I realized "shit, what just happened?" Yet, I had no desire to go back and re-listen to those chapters. The narrator has a gorgeous voice, but not for this book. She displays no emotion, she's breathy and monotone with every character.

Historia
Over two grim nights in Los Angeles, the young followers of Charles Manson murdered seven people, including the actress Sharon Tate, then eight months pregnant. With no mercy and seemingly no motive, the Manson Family followed their leader's every order. Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents.

Historia
Leland Gaunt opens a new shop in Castle Rock called Needful Things. Anyone who enters his store finds the object of his or her lifelong dreams and desires: a prized baseball card, a healing amulet. In addition to a token payment, Gaunt requests that each person perform a little "deed", usually a seemingly innocent prank played on someone else from town. These practical jokes cascade out of control, and soon the entire town is doing battle with itself. Only Sheriff Alan Pangborn suspects that Gaunt is behind the population's increasingly violent behavior.

MR. KING PLEASE RE-RECORD!
Revisado: 12-01-19
HOLY MOSES.. does anybody at audible or audio publishers listen to the F**king recordings before they put them out?! The feed back is horrendous. Sometimes it sounds like an echo and other times it sounds like a bunch of people talking in the distance while he’s trying to record. Mr. King strikes me as someone that takes pride in all his works... SO NOTIFY THE MAN OF THIS DISASTER! I will be asking for a refund.

The narrator, Alex Wyndham is beyond words for me. A true master of storytelling. The book was great. I will admit, a few times I was a little confused.. I was able to figure things out as the book went on.. All the characters are amazing. Excited for #2 on audible.

If an ANGEL made a baby with a SIREN...
Revisado: 08-13-18
If an ANGEL made a baby with a SIREN... it would sound like Alex Wyndham. With over 300 books in my audible collection, Michael G has created my favorites. This book is at the top and I even cried a little. I wish that Alex Wyndham could read the Mageborn series over and my world would be complete. I couldn't listen to the books read by Todd McLaren. I just couldn't take his voice seriously, so I read those myself. Bravo Michael G!! Keep em' coming baby!
