When his best friend, Charlie, starts dating Jane Bennet, Will becomes their unhappy third-wheel. The solution? Bring along Jane's sister, Elsie, a girl who challenges him.

Subpar Plot and Characters
Revisado: 12-18-23
There is no reason for so much of the lackluster drama in this story. Unnecessary lack of communication. Not even over feelings, which would be understandable as that’s a difficult topic to discuss. For example. Elsie’s poor attempt to warn Lydia about Jeff. All she explains is that he’s a bad guy than basically says to herself “tried my best, that’s all I can do”. No, she could have told her everything she knows, closing what she found out from the google searches. It’s not like sharing that would ruin Gianna’s reputation and future life like sharing Georgiana’s attempted elopement would have n the original. Also, Will could have easily told Elizabeth that I’m waiting to come back to Meryton for until Charlie and Jane are okay instead of leaving her hanging for so long. And why wait on Charlie anyway? So many stupid little things like this.
The narration is not great. The narrator makes almost every character sound like a condescending jerk.

More like a bad SciFi B movie. The plot just isn’t smart and well thought out.

Good Story and Narration

A good story by Julie Cooper. I love her variations, but this one doesnt keep me as engaged as several of her others. Narration was fine.

Wonderful Story and Naration
Revisado: 12-02-23
This might be my favorite story this author has written. The narrator did a wonderful job with all the characters. Her voice is very pleasant and you can tell she read the book well before recording to make sure her intonation and expression matched how the characters and their dialogue were written. The best I have ever heard so far.

Bad Narration
Revisado: 11-26-23
The narrator reads every character as if they are a condescending, insincere villain. It’s aggravating and distracting. Elizabeth sounds how you’d expect Caroline Bingley to sound and she makes Darcy sound as if every sentence he speaks is done with sexual innuendo. It’s horrible.

Historia
When Fitzwilliam Darcy meets Miss Elizabeth Bennet, his heart is almost immediately engaged. Seeing the pretty lady before him, a lady of no consequence or fortune, he believes he should not form an attachment to her, unsuitable as such a woman is to be his wife. What he cannot see, however, is the truth. That the simple country girl harbors a secret. Before she meets Darcy, Elizabeth has spent two years hiding from the men who killed her beloved first husband.

Narrator’s Reading is Difficult
Revisado: 11-15-23
I do love this story. Unfortunately the cadence that the narrator uses is so distracting. She makes odd and choppy pauses when reading almost every sentence. It’s unnecessary and unpleasant.
