Historia
As the child of a Hooters waitress and an ex-pro wrestler, Margo Millet's always known she’d have to make it on her own. So she enrolls at her local junior college, even though she can’t imagine how she’ll ever make a living. She’s still figuring things out and never planned to have an affair with her English professor—and while the affair is brief, it isn’t brief enough to keep her from getting pregnant. Despite everyone’s advice, she decides to keep the baby, mostly out of naiveté and a yearning for something bigger.

I was not expecting to love this book. I thought it would be a typical romance book.
I was wrong!
This is a funny, heartwarming, emotionally balanced story of a pretty cool chick.
I was saddened when it ended and really wished the story would continue.
I would love to see where they are going.

Historia
Rita Todacheene is a forensic photographer working for the Albuquerque police force. Her excellent photography skills have cracked many cases—she is almost supernaturally good at capturing details. In fact, Rita has been hiding a secret: she sees the ghosts of crime victims who point her toward the clues that other investigators overlook. As a lone portal back to the living for traumatized spirits, Rita is terrorized by nagging ghosts who won’t let her sleep and who sabotage her personal life.

An interesting story
Revisado: 05-28-23
A mystery and supernatural goings on. Ghosts visit a Navajo girl, which is anathema to traditional beliefs.
Rita must walk through her native world and the world outside.
She loves her Grandmother, her culture and photography.
She is a forensic photographer and is drawn into several murders by the ghosts of the murdered people demanding justice.
There is no action and adventure, just a very good story of how Rita manages both her worlds, backstory of her early years, and how she satisfies the ghost’s haunting her.

Historia
A seemingly straightforward private case turns out to be much more complicated - and sinister - than Special Agent A. X. L. Pendergast ever could have anticipated. Pendergast, together with his ward, Constance Greene, travels to the quaint seaside village of Exmouth, Massachusetts, to investigate the theft of a priceless wine collection. But inside the wine cellar, they find something considerably more disturbing: a bricked-up niche that once held a crumbling skeleton.

Historia
In a New York City fifty years in the future, Detective Eve Dallas tracks down those who break the law - including the ones sworn to uphold it. Eve Dallas and her partner, Peabody, are following up on a brutal, senseless crime - an elderly grocery owner killed by three stoned punks for nothing more than kicks and snacks. And for the first time, Peabody is primary detective on the case, which means she has to get used to a new level of authority and responsibility. Good thing she learned the ropes from a master like Eve. But after rounding up the perps, Peabody stumbles upon a much trickier situation.

Way too much talking
Revisado: 09-23-11
What was most disappointing about J. D. Robb’s story?
Some action but too much talking, preaching, and mutual admiration between the characters.
What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
She's an excellent reader and interpreter of the story.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
boredom and impatience
