Historia
Travis Devine has become a pro at accomplishing any mission he's given. But this time it’s not his skills that send him to Seattle to aid the FBI in escorting orphaned, twelve-year-old Betsy Odom to a meeting with her uncle, who’s under federal investigation. Instead, he’s hoping to lay low and keep off the radar of an enemy–the girl on the train. But as Devine gets to know Betsy, questions begin to arise around the death of her parents.

The author's political biases sabotaged the story.
Revisado: 11-15-24
This author is the poorest writer among the Tom Clancy writers' group. The plot is disjointed.
A waste of the reader's time.

Clumsily Written Trump Era Military Adventure
Revisado: 09-15-24
Reading this book is like over hearing a bar room conversation among drunken, poorly educated, wanna-be militia men. One man's negative diatribe about American cities and politics morphs into another man musing about what types of guns would be most effective for defending his property.
The Chinese and the Iranians plan chaos for the US and annexation of Taiwan. (Russian villains are notably absent.). Alice, the magical quantum computer who only talks to a special Navy Seal, is an insult to the reader's intelligence. The malevolent presidential candidate, loosely patterned on Nancy Pelosi, exemplifies the author's simple-minded style. Every good character is a hero who has killed lots of bad guys, except for qualified women shooters who just suffer injuries. Disgusting! The author might need psychiatric help.

Historia
After Tova Sullivan’s husband died, she began working the night shift at the Sowell Bay Aquarium, mopping floors and tidying up. Keeping busy has always helped her cope, which she’s been doing since her eighteen-year-old son, Erik, mysteriously vanished on a boat in Puget Sound over thirty years ago. Tova becomes acquainted with curmudgeonly Marcellus, a giant Pacific octopus living at the aquarium. Marcellus knows more than anyone can imagine but wouldn’t dream of lifting one of his eight arms for his human captors—until he forms a remarkable friendship with Tova.

A Cynical Parody, not an Adventure
Revisado: 11-22-22
This story parodies, rather than describes, both women in the military or CIA and secret military operations by putting silly female characters into roles that competent female or male characters could have occupied.
The narrator seems insipid and semi-literate. She has difficulty pronouncing both English and non-English words. The characters’ high-pitched voices and silly conversations are an insult to women who, in real life,
might be serving in these roles. I cannot imagine why a publisher would waste time and money on such a book.
