Historia
In her illuminating and highly intelligent new book, Suzanne Eder skillfully explains that we awaken to the deeper truth of who we are by following the lead of our personal, heartfelt desires. In contrast with many spiritual teachings that promote the diminishment of personal desire, What You Want Wants You clearly and boldly asserts that genuine desire is the very impulse of life itself, guiding us unerringly back to one source and to our greatest levels of contribution and fulfillment.

Leaving the Saints is an unforgettable memoir about one woman's spiritual quest and journey toward faith. As "Mormon royalty" within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Martha Beck was raised in a home frequented by the Church's high elders, known as the apostles, and her existence was framed by their strict code of conduct.

Historia
As Martha Beck says in her book, “Integrity is the cure for psychological suffering. Period.” In The Way of Integrity, Beck presents a four-stage process that anyone can use to find integrity, and with it, a sense of purpose, emotional healing, and a life free of mental suffering. Much of what plagues us—people pleasing, staying in stale relationships, negative habits—all point to what happens when we are out of touch with what truly makes us feel whole.

Historia
Prickly, wry, resistant to change yet ruthlessly honest and deeply empathetic, Olive Kitteridge is “a compelling life force” (San Francisco Chronicle). The New Yorker has said that Elizabeth Strout “animates the ordinary with an astonishing force”, and she has never done so more clearly than in this book, where the iconic Olive struggles to understand not only herself and her own life but the lives of those around her in the town of Crosby, Maine.

Beautiful and honest

Elizabeth waved the story and the characters in a way you can actually see them and relate to them. They sound like actual humans and not some sort of heroes.
Just regular people, facing life challenges and old age.

I love you, Ann Patchett!!! Your words are a flow of joy that swept me away from the Israeli sticky August, to the beauty of the north Michigan summer.
This joy has tripled by the amazing Meryl Streep, who told me this beautiful story.
How does it get any better than that?!

Sounds like it was written for a Netflix RomCom
Revisado: 06-24-23
The same story could be much better told by a less bouncy and light voice, and words.
The characters are a bit annoying and stereotyped in the gender traditional roles.
It sounds like the classic Netflix RomCom that you watch when you have nothing else to watch.
