Historia
When he was a student in Paris, Truong Nhu Tang met Ho Chi Minh. Later he fought in the Vietnamese jungle and emerged as one of the major figures in the "fight for liberation" - and one of the most determined adversaries of the United States. He became the Vietcong's Minister of Justice, but at the end of the war he fled the country in disillusionment and despair. He now lives in exile in Paris, the highest level official to have defected from Vietnam to the West. This is his candid, revealing, and unforgettable autobiography.

Mind Expanding

I’m 35 years old, a US Army veteran of the American Afghanistan War and the son of a US Army Veteran who fought in Vietnam in 1969.
This book showed me an alternate perspective to the Vietnam war that I had yet to explore before reading this book.
I found the book to be very informative and engaging. Thank you to the author for providing a window into some of the cultural and political currents that in my mind, illustrates how doomed the American project in SE Asia was from the very

Historia
There’s no doubt that our world has gotten more extreme. Pandemics, climate change, superpower rivalries, cyberattacks, political radicalization—virtually, everywhere we look there is mayhem bearing down on us, putting trillions of assets at risk. And at least two factions have formed around how to respond. In Chaos Kings, Scott Patterson depicts how one faction, led by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, bestselling author of The Black Swan, believes humans can never see the big disaster coming.

Historia
Defying both civil authorities and the Mormon establishment in Salt Lake City, the renegade leaders of these Taliban-like theocracies are zealots who answer only to God; some 40,000 people still practice polygamy in these communities. At the core of Krakauer’s book are brothers Ron and Dan Lafferty, who insist they received a commandment from God to kill a blameless woman and her baby girl. Beginning with a meticulously researched account of this appalling double murder, Krakauer constructs a bone-chilling narrative of messianic delusion, polygamy, savage violence, and unyielding faith.

Academic rigor yet practical
Revisado: 03-02-21
I’ve read most of the books on behavioral finance, this book is my favorite. Most discussions in behavioral finance miss the Mark, reducing the conversation to the acknowledgement of human foibles and the arrogant assumption that financial advisors are impervious to these issues. Or that knowing gaining a knowledge of these issues will be enough to overcome our biological predisposition to be poor investors.
Dr. Crosby quickly presents the latest research and gets to practical ways of creating rules based processes to systematically make better investment decisions.
