Worth waiting for

Continuation of a marvelous series. While I would love to read and listen to a new book in this series or by this author every month (!), I am glad each new book shows the care it took to craft more of the story. The narrator is, one if the VERY, best of any genre, and makes the book a joy to listen to.

I truly enjoyed reading this. The characters have wonderful depth and behave like real people with imperfections and growth (not always present in the genre!). With a good mystery, drama, humor, and cats thrown in, it’s another great addition to the series. The only problem— now I want a Power Wagon.

Another Favorite

I now have four favorite ways to enjoy Dickens’ classic: reading it, watching the muppet version, listening to Sir Patrick Stewart’s performance, and now Joel Froomkin’s exquisite narration. He is a very gifted narrator. It’s so easy to be swept up in his reading, and sometimes hard to remember that it’s not a cast of people I’m hearing, but one wonderful performer.

A wonderful addition to the series with very entertaining vignettes of the characters. The narration performed by Joel Leslie is superb. I have yet to come across anyone else with the skill to perform such excellent dialects.
