Historia
Pinion, Minnesota: a metropolis of all of 700 souls. Nothing ever happened there - until the mayor of sorts (campaign slogan: "I'll Do What I Can") and a buddy come up with a scheme to put Pinion on the map. They'd heard of a place where a floating image of the Virgin Mary had turned the whole town into a shrine, attracting thousands of pilgrims. And all those pilgrims needed food, shelter, all kinds of crazy things, right? They'd all get rich! What could go wrong? When the dead body shows up, they find out, and that's only the beginning of their troubles - and Virgil Flowers'....

Sandford NEVER dissapoints!
Revisado: 11-21-18
This Virgil Flowers novel is brilliant. It still has some of the grit of the Prey series, but has an organic small town feel. Virgil is a quirky, witty, and tough investigator who has a knack for finding trouble- and kicking it's ass. Like in previous novels, Virgil enlists the help of locals. This novel takes some unexpected turns and is read flawlessly by Eric Conger.

Historia
A dark, fantastical, multi-enerational tale about a family whose patriarch is consumed by the hunt for the mythical, elusive Sasquatch he encountered in his youth. Eli Roebuck was nine years old when his mother walked off into the woods with "Mr. Krantz", a large, strange, hairy man who may or may not have been a sasquatch. What Eli knows for certain is that his mother went willingly, leaving her only son behind.

Great story!

A very moving story, not at all what I expected! It really isn't about Sasquatch, or the quest.

Amazing story and performance!
Revisado: 03-13-18
This is an amazing story, and Matt Godfrey's reading of it brought the characters to life. It was easy to forget that this was of the Horror genre, as the depth of characters as well as the accurate treatment of southern history and social issues seemed to take it into a genre of it's very own. Brilliant.
