Some imteresting concepts but weak on details or examples. Not realistic. Get together with a group of like minded men and talk about the same set of concepts?

The best and only book on positioning
Revisado: 05-02-20
I started 2020 off with a new years resolution. 52 books for the year, so a book a week. I had a business goal to read only business books as well, partly to use as incentive to help me reach my goals because I figured after reading 52 books on the same topic, I'd be dying to break off do some fun reading as well. Of all the top rated, best selling business books I've read this year, this is definitely in the top 3 for me. It's also the only book I've found on market positioning. How can any marketer's library be complete without a book on product positioning? This is a must have if you're interested in B2B marketing or any type of marketing. It's simple, clear and exactly what every B2B company should be thinking about, no matter where they are in their journey. I especially enjoyed the author's narration of the book, she's got a great enthusiastic personality behind the tone, which makes the listener's journey that much more enjoyable. She's obviously very passionate about the topic, and knows it very well.

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

overall good but I don't agree with all
Revisado: 09-18-19
Not all offshore is bad. There are plenty of citizens in the world that are not part of the big tax heavy countries of the world. Those that legitimately shouldn't be overburdened with the tax regimes of other countries. Offshore shouldn't go away, but it obviously needs to managed better. Opening transparency on real owners is, as the authors states, a minimal start.

overall, extremely comprehensive
Revisado: 06-07-18
I very much enjoyed this, but as an audible, it's a little too much information. I found myself not being able to keep all the characters straight due to not seeing their names, and not being able to go back and check which person the author was referencing. In a hardcover book, this wouldn't have been a problem, but as an audible it's a lot harder to keep track.
The Morgan story is an important one, highly integrated with the most significant events during for the US over the last 100 - 150 years. Highly recommended, Ron Chernow is a brilliant biographer.

weak, silly and repetitive
Revisado: 05-02-18
What would have made 12 Rules for Life better?
While I can appreciate the level of thought that went into the author's thesis, I felt like this could have been summed up a lot shorter than it was. At 12 hours, it was too drawn out, and frankly boring. I took it with me while driving, walking or going for a run, and find myself even on 1.5 times speed saying - Get to the point. Each of the 12 rules could have been summed up in a single page, and I wish they had. Sorry, not for me.
What could Jordan B. Peterson and Norman Doidge MD - foreword have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
made it a lot shorter!!
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Narrator was fine.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
the overall content was good, but was way too long.
