It's been such a long time since I was this emotionally invested in a book. Witty banter between characters who connect with each other is always a fun read, but this book also moved me to tears. With loveable, relatable and well developed characters, Penelope Ward took me along on this emotional roller coaster ride (no pun intended... get the book to get the connection!).

The team of Penelope Ward and my favorite narrating duo, Andi Arndt and Sebastian York, really drew me into Amber's, Channing's and Rory's stories. Although I "guessed" who WOULD get the girl, there were times when I was torn between who SHOULD get the girl.

A satiating story on all levels. Ward skillfully weaves past love with passion and pathos. Definitely a good read/ listen. I will be listening to this presentation many more times.

I liked the storyline, Knox and Joe Arden's portrayal of Knox. There was wit, humour and romance. Parker and her narrator, however, had me struggling through the book. This character was too insecure and was too caught up in who she was in high school to make her feel like a heroine you'd want to root for. Add to that Karen White's screaming, almost manic portrayal of her and it's a HARD no from me for that character.

There were times I wanted to give up on this book and they all came during the female narrator's readings. Karen, I know you can do better! I've listened to your narration of "Poison Candy" by Elizabeth Parker and Mark Ebner. If I hadn't listened to that before listening to this book, I would've been inclined to avoid any books narrated by you!! But that was your saving grace. Please try not to scream and squawk at us next time.

Andi Arndt and Sebastian York could read me the phone book and I'd be satisfied. Add that to the creativity and wit of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward and I'm thrilled. The characters and back stories were well thought out and developed by the authors, and (as always) superbly presented by the narrators. If you're looking for a funny, satiating holiday romance, this book is for you.

It's a funny, gripping, heartwarming story, creatively written and masterfully performed by a stellar cast. The audience reactions in this live performance also add to the listening enjoyment. Two thumbs up!!😍

I used to have a love-hate relationship with suspense...actually, it was more like a hate-love relationship, so I had a tendency to stick with the feel-good-rom-com-type books. However, after having read 'Absolute Power' (gifted to me by my sister some years ago), I fell in love with Baldacci. Now, Audible has taken to telling me that it hopes my ears work on Monday since I've listened to 'Memory Man', 'The Last Mile' and 'The Fix' between Friday and Sunday. Being able to listen AND multitask, I just couldn't put Decker down. Although Ron McLarty's reading of Decker is my favorite, Kyf Brewer and Orlagh Cassidy really sell it for me as Melvin Mars and Alex Jamison respectively. I'm so glad Harper didn't die. Looking forward to more appearances from her. On to 'The Fallen'...thanks David Baldacci!!!😊
