Easy read but average
Revisado: 04-29-25
Easy read/listen, but felt drawn out. The beginning of the book was entertaining but it drug out in the middle and seemed fairly easy to discern where the book was ultimately going although there was a surprise twist at the end but even that wasn’t overly satisfying.

Historia
Dr. W. Lee Warren, a practicing brain surgeon, assumed he knew most outcomes for people with glioblastoma, head injuries, and other health-care problems. Yet even as he tried to give patients hope, his own heart would sink as he realized, I've seen the end of you. But it became far more personal when the acclaimed doctor experienced an unimaginable family tragedy. That's when he reached the end of himself. Gripping medical stories serve as the backdrop for a raw, honest look at how we can remain on solid ground when everything goes wrong.

Absolutely love Ernie and this book is a must read
Revisado: 02-02-25
Ernie tells such a compelling story of his life and family and career. He makes you feel like you know him and it’s so easy to relate. His positive outlook on life and unwavering faith in God even amidst some really difficult struggles is beyond inspiring. I know I’ll be looking for more blackberry moments of my own.

Historia
If you're like many Christian moms today, you've been reading the headlines and watching the rapid-fire changes in our culture with frustration and fear. Let's face it: Moms today are facing questions that previous generations didn't even see coming, and even our right to determine what is best for our own children is under fire. Popular speaker and blogger Heidi St. John ("The Busy Mom") believes that today's mothers need a special kind of strength. We need to be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might.

Historia
It was one of the most searing images of the twentieth century: two young boys, two princes, walking behind their mother’s coffin as the world watched in sorrow—and horror. As Princess Diana was laid to rest, billions wondered what Prince William and Prince Harry must be thinking and feeling—and how their lives would play out from that point on.

Very real and practical Christian advice
Revisado: 01-24-24
Great book for first time or any time moms looking for help with things like PPD or PPA. Some parts got a little repetitive but overall was helpful and I loved that it was written from a Christian perspective of these struggles that many mothers face.

Good, easy read, but predictable
Revisado: 07-16-22
This was a good, easy read, so it was nice to listen to while doing computer work or traveling, but it seemed pretty predictable. I loved Joe’s sincerity, but sometimes Cate’s “self punishment” grew old on me. Overall, it was good, but I have liked other Emily Giffin books more for their depth, range and development of characters and/or plot.
