Whenever one is listening to or reading a Sherlock Holmes book, it is hard not to compare it to so many from the past. It is nice to say that this one lives up to the others and was very enjoyable. Thank you!

Historia
Wolf of the North: It has been generations since the Northlands have seen a hero worthy of the title. Many have made the claim, but few have lived to defend it. Timid, weak, and bullied, Wulfric is as unlikely a candidate as there could be. Jorundyr's Path: Jorundyr's Path is walked only by the brave. As Wulfric pursues Adalhaid's Blood Debt, he soon learns that the path to revenge is never easy. The Blood Debt: A blade fit for a hero. An army for a tyrant. A reckoning long awaited, and a tale reaching its end.

This was a fun tale full of adventure and mystery. It’s hard to imagine the harshness of what life must have been like back in those days but this story does a good job. I really enjoyed it, especially the gruff narration. Thank you!

I so appreciate an author who creates his characters so real, that you love or hate them and they have such full personalities. I really enjoyed this book and there wasn’t once that I did not believe what was happening. Thank you!

What the ….?
Revisado: 10-13-24
I had a really hard time finishing this book. I wanted to enjoy the story but I strongly disliked the main character so much, as the story unfolded I just wanted to remove the book from my library…. but I didn’t, instead I stuck with it and there were some interesting twists near the end. But the end did not make me change my mind, that the main character is so pitiful it was torture to listen. This was disfunction in extreme!

Historia
The man who became known as Esrahaddon is reported to have destroyed the world’s greatest empire—but there are those who believe he saved it. Few individuals are as divisive, but all agree on three facts: He was exiled to the wilderness, hunted by a goblin priestess, and sentenced to death by a god—all before the age of eight. How he managed to survive and why people continued to fear his name a thousand years later has always been a mystery...until now.

Revisado: 07-28-24
Michael J Sullivan’s books have always been a pleasure to listen to, not just because of Tim Gerard Reynolds but because they weave such great stories. When they’re over I always have such a feeling of loss, like people or friendships that are now gone. I look forward to the next.

Revisado: 07-21-24
It took me a while to start to get into this book but when I finally did, I grew more and more curious as to where the story was going. By the end,I was sufficiently interested enough to move forward with the next book in the series.

Ageless romantic
Revisado: 06-25-24
As I hit the twilight of my own life, I realize how important it is to live life to the best of your ability. Montalbano can be such a jerk but because has the wisdom of time on his side, he always manages to come out on the right side of a situation. I love how this book tests him as never before. His emotions have him acting like an adolescent and I found myself shaking my head as to his antics but thankfully he found his way out. It’s important to reevaluate your life continually.

It’s nice to hear a story that offers humour even with a serious topic. Scott Brick can easily go over the top when he narrates but this time he allowed the story to play out and I appreciate that.
